I just disagree and the main reason I do is that we can't trust the people/agencies that will be tasked with doing the vetting.
So to be clear, but if someone lies during their campaign, they need to be investigated for fraud, campaign finance or removed from office? Is this what the consensus is right now?
They’re all lies, including Biden’s “embellishment” or “incorrect memory”. He sure has a lot of those. Santos lied and so have many others. The problem is how do you hold Santos accountable when no one else has been to this point? The people haven’t demanded better and it’ll never change until we do.“My sins here are embellishing my résumé,” Mr. Santos told The New York Post in one of several interviews he gave on Monday.
Mr. Santos admitted to lying about graduating from college and making misleading claims that he worked for Citigroup or Goldman Sachs. He once said he had a family-owned real estate portfolio of 13 properties; on Monday, he admitted he was not a landlord.
That's not "embellishment." That's just being a total liar and fraud. There has to be some element of truth for it to be embellished. If there's no core of truth, it's just a lie.
I heard a statement this morning that made a lot of sense. Democrats and many on the left have no real ideology other opposition. This is why many for the most part parrot what they hear from their political party and mainstream media.I wish the left were this passionate about sniffing out liars in all situations, rather than selectively based on what letter the person has beside their name.
