Steve also didn't win a conference championship or make a national championship in his first 4 years as a HC. lol going off your logic Saban is a bad coach because he lost to LA Monroe. Again, nice cherry picking.Steve never lost in The Swamp to a 4 win team with their third string QB...Again, do not compare that dude to the legend Steve Spurrier.
You realize Coach was in Gainesville before the CFP was a thing, right?Steve also didn't win a conference championship or make a national championship in his first 4 years as a HC. lol going off your logic Saban is a bad coach because he lost to LA Monroe. Again, nice cherry picking.
Did the lack of playoffs prevent Spurrier from making a natty in his first four years? Richt did win 10 games the year prior, but he also never made the playoffs and never made it to the natty in 15 years. You realize Coach was in Gainesville before the CFP was a thing, right?
*EDIT* And he was at Duke first as a HC, not Georgia...I believe Georgia won 10 games with Richt the year before the current guy got there.
Richt would have made the playoff at least once had it, you know, actually existed in his early years at Georgia.Did the lack of playoffs prevent Spurrier from making a natty in his first four years? The playoffs did exist for Richt and he never made them, at UGA and Miami. You're also missing the point. Richt had a great first 4 years and wasn't fired after his fourth year. If Richt kept replicating his first four years he would've made the playoffs when they arrived and he'd still be employed today.Richt would have made the playoff at least once had it, you know, actually existed in his early years at Georgia.
And he won a conference championship at Duke...The head ball coach at Georgia right now could not coach a lower tier, lesser talented team, like say, South Carolina, to a conference championship. He should've been a better coordinator or waited for a better job opportunity then. Can't blame Kirby for waiting for the right job.

Can’t believe some of the Vol fans on here saying we are better off than Georgia Lmao that’s hysterical. We should be 9-3 playing for 10 wins if Pruitt could’ve motivated his team more to beat a sunbelt team and not choke the game away against a crappy BYU team.
The fact that arguably the most talented team in the SEC lost at home to a 4 win team with their third string QB...It shows me he needs absolutely elite talent to win at a high level and even so, he still loses to VASTLY inferior teams and loses the biggest games he coaches in.You're basing that off of what?
Kirby walked into a talented roster I give him credit for not messing it up but Spurrier walked into a terrible Duke team in 1987. Could Kirby do that go to a lesser school and win big? I seriously doubt it.And Kirby won the SEC and made it to a natty in year 2. So off of our limited sample size, it seems Kirby accomplished more in his first 4 years than Spurrier.
