Just on offense. D just needs to clean up the run defense and they should be fine. UGA a little more traditional offense than State with a less mobile QB.

OL has to play it's best game of the season though.

They want have to worry as much about Beck running…he looks a little Gimby to me.

The oddsmakers generally know things the general public do not. The Nico injury comes to mind. But I can see this line considering how we play on the road and with the noise. Our last trip to Athens really baffled our offense and with a freshman or backup QB I do not see anything different.

Another thing that bothers me is that Kentucky and Miss State both exposed our defense and Smart will take advantage of that. Our play calling seems to be stagnating at this time of the season too. If I were UGA I would come out in a 3-3-5 defense since we have little success against that.
How did they "expose" our defense? Nobody's scored 20 on us all year.

What encourages me is how thoroughly dominated UGA was against Ole Miss and how out of sync they looked against Florida the week before. It wasn’t just an “off day” or not caring or whatever. Our defense is just as good or better than Ole Miss. Georgia will look better I’m sure but it should be a competitive game.

All of y’all saying that UGA will work us because they’re coming off a loss, you don’t think they were loaded for bear going into the Ole Miss game? They brought their A game yesterday and got whipped. If we can win turnover margin and avoid stupid penalties, we win. I don’t trust our offense against their defense, but I trust their offense against our defense even less.

I always hate away games against teams like UGA. With the loss of communication due to crowd noise our offense usually looks extra vanilla. We're going to need a big run game.

It does make at least a slight difference where a game is played. Ole Miss had home field advantage, and Tennessee won't.

I will be hoping you are right and the Vols go in there and continue what State put on UGA. It's not impossible to think it could be another sweet victory for Tennessee. Just don't ask me to bet the farm on it!

GO VOLS!

P.S. It's fantastic that our star RB will be available, and that Gilbert found his confidence again. 👊🏻 It's also not impossible to think Nico might be ready to go. All these things will certainly increase our chances.

Georgia is not the same this year. Kirby made some comments coming into the season about being concerned with this team and now we know why.

The SEC has a lot of good but no great teams. I feel like this will be a year where a B1G team wins it (likely Oregon or Ohio State although Ohio State has struggled at times).

This. UGA was obviously fired up and dialed in, they just got straight up beat.

Despite what fans say, I don't think motivation is that big an issue for players. I do think players can get down if games (and even the season) doesn't go there way. I saw some of that, at times, with Georgia last night.

GA is beatable. It wont be easy bc they will be closer to the Ga that went to TX than the one that went to Ol Miss, but still beatable. The key is disruption to Beck. He cant handle pressure and will give the ball up.

Yeah. I think he mentioned their lack of depth. They lost a good bit to the league and the portal I believe.

Whatever. Playing between the hedges is overrated. Not that loud and definitely not intimidating. It’s nothing like playing in Neyland. Vols will be just fine in Athens!
Did you see that game 2 years ago? Our OL kept jumping because of the crowd noise and the UGA defensive line stunts. No, it is not Neyland but Heupel has had problems on the road in the SEC. He has not won a big game on the road in conference since Kentucky 3 years ago.
