Ghosts..... Have you ever seen them?

Yes I know who it is. I asked. It told me. It's not on the family. It's on me.

It's friendly ( I wish to believe) but I know who it is.
You never should have asked it who it was. It isn't friendly. It is demonic and trying to gain a foothold into your life, which it has now done. Don't interact with it.

So it's not really friendly and just pretending to be that way to fool him? I suppose that could be true but I always thought that there are friendly spirits out there protecting you.

All the famous cases of demonic possession or hauntings start out similar and the demonic entity pretends to be a ghost of a child or a friendly spirit.

Yes.

At least once a month. Maybe more, but I've gotten to were I tune it out. Everything I've read suggests this.

Example: only one home, I'm in the shower, but yet some one passes by the door of the shower.

My well pump has been off for about a year, but yet I walked in to the well house- the pumps trying to run and the house is flooded.

Shower incidence happened the week before. I ignored it. Following week the well house is running.

Coincidence?

If you were in the shower how did you see someone walk by the door?

Also the well house could be many things.

Man, that is scary. So I assume there are exceptions to that and friendly ghosts do exist? At least, I hope all ghosts aren't evil.:ermm:

He said the shower door. My shower door is clear glass, so I would know if somebody walked by as well.

This^^^^

Frosted glass. A shadow passed in front of it.
It's one of those corner showers. Kind of roundish. I have full view of the area

Great stories, everyone. I really enjoy sitting down and being able to read others experiences.

I'm not sure what I think in this scenario. I believe in angels and demons, but I believe paranormal entities are different. These entities acts contradict each other in almost every case of a "ghost story." I tend to lean towards believing most ghosts are deceitful and try to scare people. Now, there are exceptions to everything, but this is just my personal opinion.

No. I don't think ghosts exist in a friendly manner. I think there are good spirits but they don't haunt houses and were never human. In the bible, someone asked Jesus about the dead and his response was "they are asleep."

I fully believe that hauntings occur with different types of spirits, but when they start giving their names and their sad stories that they are demons. Their is a spirit chain of command with some being more powerful than others, and it's that way on both the good side and the bad.

I like to hear the different points of view on the subject of ghosts and paranormal activity because I have no personal experiences regarding the subject. As long as I've been alive, I've never had a encounter with a ghost that I know of. So eye-witness accounts is the reason that skepticism regarding paranormal activity and ghosts don't exist in my life. There is just too much "stuff" that goes on for it to be "nothing". I'm a believer. My husband is the main reason that I'm no longer a skeptic but before he told me about these encounters, I was kinda in between believing and non-believing, didn't know what to think.

Bump. I have a question for the ghost hunters. There seems to be a pattern about the stories I've heard from my husband and the ones on here. Most of these have occurred in older homes being rented. Is it common to have these kinda of things happen in newly built homes? or just the older homes? Maybe a stupid question but I'm just curious. Anyone have a story about a haunted newly built home?

It depends if a house/building is haunted and it is torn down sometimes the spirit moves on. However in the case of a residual haunting its always described as like CD on repeat playing a moment in time it will happen where the building is there or not. That paranormal event might happen once a day, week, month or even year.

I think someone said the land could be haunted. Then a new house is built on that property and the house could become haunted.

Haunted land=Haunted House

Here's one for the Ghost Patrol. In 1992, my company relocated me to E. Tejas. Through bar hoping, I became friends with a couple who later bought a bar on a side street downtown. The bar was on the first level of a two story building. This ain't scary folks, but bear with me. The building was a hotel back in the 1800's. It, as many during that time, had it's ladies of the evening who worked the upstairs rooms. There were stories of gamblers and innocents being killed in the downstairs where poker games were the main course. Also, stories of two prostitutes dying upstairs. One murdered and one suicide. The modern version of this place had several pool tables and half a dozen dart boards downstairs, plus the bar. No one ever went upstairs as it was vacant except for a piano. One night, and I'll admit after a few drinks, I thought I heard the faint sound of a piano upstairs as we were playing darts. I decided to go up to see what was happening. Now, this Tejas evening, it was around 90 degrees with high humidity. As I climbed the stairs, I could actually feel the temp getting cooler. When I got upstairs, the temp had to be at least 20-25 degrees cooler than downstairs. There was nothing there than I could see or hear. Just me and the old piano. To this day, I haven't been able to figure out how the temp dropped so drastically going upstairs to an area that was closed off and had no AC going there whatsoever. Ideas?

Drops in temp are commonly reported during ghost activity.

Bump. Be back later to read Slydell's story.

Edit: Read slydell's story. I'm like u, wonder why the temp dropped as u walked upstairs. That's just strange.

I thought so but had to feel it for myself. I'd been told prior that I would encounter this. The regulars knew all about it and it was a frequent topic in the bar.

Did they happen to give any indication at all as to why that happens? or even hint around at anything? That would bug me until I got answers.
