Ghosts..... Have you ever seen them?

Did they happen to give any indication at all as to why that happens? or even hint around at anything? That would bug me until I got answers.

They all just said it was due to the spirit presence in the upstairs. I've forgotten the story but it was roughly that one of the hookers had been murdered up there by a gambler on night.

Hmm.. I'm curious as to what the ghost hunters in here would say. Seems like that a temp. change has been explained by someone out of these posts. I can't remember because there are so many posts and stories in here.

Decided to do a little research on sudden temp. change and found this:

Could have been a psychological perception on my end. Apparently, a number of people frequenting the bar experienced it, too. I don't understand these things but will never say occurrences don't exists. We just don't know that much. I do know one famous person who was in the bar more than a dozen times experienced it, as well. He accepted it, like the rest of us and never said much about it.

Well, I've personally never witnessed a paranormal occurrence so my "believing that it exists" comes from others eye witness accounts like my husbands and these homes he lived in or visited. I don't understand them either, I just know that me hearing these things are enough for me to believe that there is something out there.

I think there are many things we've yet to discover or figure out. For all we know, the ghosts that people see could be a parallel dimension of times past that we get a glimpse into from time to time. As much as we've advanced in the past 1000 or so years, we still have a long ways to go in understanding what makes this orb tick.

Hmmm, first story I've read on this thread and quite touching. Glad it was pleasant.

OK, I'm going to try to keep this simple and clear, but knowing me, I may wander a a bit.

This past May, I started smelling a pleasant aroma when I got into my car. After awhile, either it went away or I got accustomed to it and forgot about it. But, it continued daily when I got into my car. It was pleasing but it was a fragrance that I couldn't quite put my finger on. I couldn't describe it as you would be able to describe an orange, apple or banana fragrance. It was just a light and sweet fragrance.

The next month, June, I picked up my brother to go to a Farmer's Market. After he got in the car, I noticed he was aware of the fragrance. He actually sniffed a few times.

He turned to me and asked me if I had found an old bottle of Debi's perfume and was using it for an air fragrance. It hit me then that was exactly what I'd been smelling. The fragrance from Debi's perfume. I told him no, that I had no idea where it came from.

The details to help with all this:

1 Debi was my wife
2 She died in an auto accident in 2005
3 I bought this car in Utah in 2007 so obviously she was never in it
4 Her birthday was in May
5 She died in June

I haven't smelled that fragrance since the end of June.

So, there's my story.

There's a theory that when spirits do things that can be noticed in our world, it takes energy. Some people think that the drop in temperature is from energy around the spriit getting pulled out of the air to be used for their activity. It's also really common for batteries to die in anything that's battery operated when a spirit is active, supposedly for the same reason.

I've really curious to hear this. You still planning on telling?

Yes I am. I apologize. I'll get it on here in the am. A fellow poster reminded me of this and as I told him, things have been a little crazy. Wife has me running bananas getting little chores done up before she heads out of town Monday. ( New York) she will gone for a week and she wants to make sure our son and myself are good to go.

Just bare with me.

Why are questioning him? You should take everything you read on the internet as 100% truth without challenging it whatsoever.

I normally do, however his internet cred has not reached the level of his post ... I felt it therefore my personal responsibility to question the authority of the post.

I hope I have not stepped over some line unknown to me.

I've seen Shadow People also(a dark humanoid shape that looked like a man wearing a hat).

Shadow person - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I've only seen one in my short life.

I was visiting a cemetery, that has been said to host paranormal activity, about 2 and a half years ago. I really didn't believe in the paranormal and such back then, me and my buddies would just take girls to "haunted" places for another reason for them to hold on to us so we can hold on to them and let our hands get lost. :whistling:

Understand the road to the cemetery is a long and winding back road, if two cars were coming the opposite ways one would have to pull over to the side. At the end of the road it turns into a small loop, and the loop sneaks up on you because of how dark it is out there. The only way to see the cemetery at night is for your car to be parked facing a certain way with headlights shining. We decided to keep those off to increase the "scare" factor.

Anyways, it was a chilly night with a little bit of a breeze. We arrive got out of the car around 0130. There is a small gate which has a chain to connect and close off the cemetery to any stray animals. We stayed inside the small cemetery until 0300 just relaxing and waiting for a "ghost," which we thought would be white as snow with it's arms straightened walking towards us. Well, that obviously never happened and we decided to leave and as I was walking out, about to shut the gate, I walked back towards the center of the cemetery to get one last look at the place. There were two large cedar (I believe) trees in the middle of the cemetery and I was about 5 yards from being in the middle of them, and before I could turn back around to head back to the truck I noticed what seemed to be a dark figure that had the shape of a male, yet I could still somewhat see through it. I could see it perfectly and I still can visualize it like it happened yesterday. For about ten seconds, I couldn't move, blink, talk, I had lost complete control of my body because I was so terrified. I had broke into a sweat and my body was burning up. The figure finally vanished and I turned around and walked to the car and shut the gate. I told my friends about what happened, most of them called bull****, and I don't blame them because I truly believe to believe such a story you must have an experience of your own. That's why nowadays I am interested in the paranormal, I want to know what that figure was and why it appeared to me. I know I probably never will, but I won't stop trying to figure it out.

If anyone has ever seen a demon, I'd like to hear about it, thanks.

I saw the Shadow Person just standing a few feet from Me as I sat in front of a computer in the house I use to live at in Woodstock,Georgia.I also saw a black shape that looked like a cat walking across the computer table there. I think that house was haunted. I made sure that I never said anything to the Shadow Beings

Now I'm curious to your opinion on the matter. Do you share trut's opinion?

No. I think we even got into it earlier in the thread.

I have mixed feelings about "ghosts". My rational, logical side dismisses the notion. I don't believe in the Christian God, angels, demons, Satan, spirits, or souls. That would seem to eliminate most explanations of "ghosts" and a lot of the "ghost" stories you hear about.

However, various experiences in my life and the testimony of countless others make me less hesitant to outright dismiss them.

I believe it is possible that some people have the ability to perceive things that most cannot. Much in the same way we realize that not only do we humans have a very limited ability (and range) to experience the external but also that animals have the ability to perceive the external in ways we cannot.

If "ghosts" are real, I believe it has something to do with the extra dimensions of reality. Continuing this train of thought, if such is true, it would makes sense that some people are born with abilities to "see"or "feel" dimensions that normal humans can not.

I don't think one would have to believe or not believe in any particular religion to witness something of this sort. Having another dimension that we are not yet aware of is a good possibility. We don't know everything yet. Another thought of mine runs along vibration. Everything vibrates. So, it's quite possible some things we see vibrate on a different level and occasionally the vibrations vary enough for them to be seen. Just throwing that out there.
