If Stokes commits to UT on Monday......Then yes it will be a coordinated event with the UT SID. The decision has been made not sure who it is but he will have made it several days before because of deadline requirements....If it is UT he will have been enrolled at UT for 5 days before the official announcement....

I don't like the word splash but used it earlier...Stokes commitment to UT does signify and validate some things about the program and the Coach, Staff one being the direction it maybe headed.... A player of his caliber that feels that he can immediately contribute to the success and it does give this program some recognition on the front....

Recruiting is tough....for anybody.....and you have to sell yourself out sometimes....Stokes has been different and CCM has been too....It took Pearl several years to get a HARRIS type player here....

Take it for what it is worth, if he comes to UT it will be worth it....It will be good for him and for the program...He will be here for only a short status but it will be worth the period having him play here....With his success on the court it can be a catalyst to future recruits and to a quicker recovery.....

If stokes commits to us maximizing the benefit(splash) is the key. It will be huge in recruiting and in the community. Claiming that its only significance is on the court is crazy!

I totally agree.....it will also accelerate the rebuilding process.....

He didn't say but I'm assuming PM. He's doing this to garner as much attention as possible. This is his tweet:

Tobias is all class, but his statement speaks volumes about CCM, Tobias obviously likes what CCM is doing IMO.

Stokes on 92.9 in Memphis right now. Says he's been praying about it and has been led to the idea that he needs to decide soon, but still praying about his actual decision. Will wake up Thursday morning and figure it out.

Stokes has graduated, wants to start college in January, work on his degree. "And more important, I can play."

Good answer.. honestly think he knows where he is going and so does the coach. but you have to give that answer unless you want the media, twitter and facebook blowing up all over the place trying to "break" the story..

Stokes also said it was hard on new staff at UT after Pearl left - since they were new.

He was talking up Cal and the UK program big time. Worried that the Nike camp made him an offer to UK he couldn't refuse.
