Greatest Vol Player that didn't play in the NFL?

If the OP actually means the greatest UT player that never played a down in the NFL, the top 5 answers are likely to be Johnny Majors, Condredge Holloway, Andy Kelly, Larry Sievers, and Gene McEver. Honorable mention goes to Hank Lauricella (played 11 games in the NFL) and Jimmy Colquitt (played 2 games in the NFL).

Whoa! First post after four years a member.

Physically, Jay Graham had it all--a big dude with tremendous speed. But he lacked the eyes that all great running backs have, was not great at finding seams. He played in the league, but not for long.

LaMarcus Coker could have been if he stayed out of trouble. The kid was a star, absolutely electric.

He was at the South Carolina game with all the vfl's. Got a pic of him and my dad.

Among semi-modern players, Jeremaine Copeland is the answer -- and for me, I don't think it's even close. That guy easily could have played in the NFL ... just never got with the right team in training camp. He tore up the CFL for years.

Johnny is the best.

Honorable mention: Jeff Powell

"Powell, a track man who transferred to Tennessee from William & Mary..."

For anyone who doesn't know Powell simply torched one of the Blades brothers in the '86 Sugar Bowl for a 60 yd TD...'twas a thing of beauty.

Always thought Munoz was waaaaaay over rated! The way Fulmer forced him to be a started as a freshman over clearly more talented lineman was shady.

Munoz was great. Who was more talented? He was an All American. His knees just didn't hold up.

Tony Robinson...... he was a sight to behold when he was healthy....

Tony was Redskins QB during NFL Strike Scab season 87 I think.

Beat the Cowboys when most of their players had crossed the picket line. Movie "The Replacements" with Keanu Reeves based on that Redskins team.
