I will contact my Memphis peeps on January 4th to hack this site and shut it down for a few days. theres no way the team could be motivated enough to beat us then. With such a tragedy, they might not even show up.

Actually, you have no clue what you are talking about. I write letters to coaches all over the country and mail them to them using the postal service. You would be surprised the coaches who respond to letters.

And if "Jimmy Jo" and "Jay R." are too stupid to find someone's address and take 10 minutes to write a letter they've got issues.

Good grief guys, quit putting words in my mouth. LOL. Its obviously not the sole reason they've been playing better Def. But, the negativity surrounding the program, coupled with the BPHaters, coupled with their natural competitive nature, coupled with MANY FRKN things, has motivated them to this point. Now, ask yourself this: which one of those areas has had the MOST shake up, given the recent events? Ok. So it makes sense to think that those things may be on the forefront of their minds when searching for motivation. Geez Louise.

Whoopity poo. Got letters from JJones, JCalhoun, DDooley, MHamilton, PFulmer, CoachK,and many more hanging around my house. You're not impressing anyone. And why don't you set up a poll to see how many VN posters have contacted a player in their lifetime through the mail/phone/txt. Ill wait on your 4 responses, while I count the millions of open posts to guys. Case closed.

Yeh, bc the ppl in positions of pwr to get info like that were on the opposite side of the spectrum regarding their feelings of HA. Yeh. Cmon dude, give it up.

So the players and coaches have read hate from their own fans on the biggest and best sports site on the internet (outside of CBS, ESPN and FOX) and have taken motivation from it? Makes sense to me...Keep it up Hat, we need more Pearl hate if we are going to make a run at this thing in March.

Definitely couldn't be the fact that, a team with Chris Lofton, JaJuan Smith, Dane Bradshaw, Ramar Smith, and Wayne Chism as your starting 5 wouldn't be a good half-court defensive team. I'm sure Pearl would love to play man to man with Dane at the 4 and JaJuan on the opposing 3, that sounds like great coaching.

Fact is we didn't have the personnel to implement a hard-nosed half-court team. Now if we have to play a 4 guard lineup, we will be a pressing team again. Pearl changes philosophy on what he has, it's not that hard to see. Seems like Roy Williams needs to do that a little more instead of relying on the best talent year in and year out to bail him out.

Not an attack. Just a response. Letting folks know I'll take criticism when deserved.
It's just an indicator when people nitpick. Sometimes, people don't know how small they look, or how easy it is to psychoanalyze them....I minored in Psychology, and reading people is a big part of my job.
