I see two ways Gruden might fail as a college coach:
1. He literally can't adapt to coaching college kids at all.
2. He's not really committed to it.
There's no guarantee in coaching period. Bama could have a rash of injuries and make Saban look like a has been. You never know, but coaches with NFL credentials command a lot of respect from recruits and players alike.
I know it's not a long list. Any others? I would think he would consider Notre Dame.
That would be one and the closest option.
I could see a remote chance for tOSU and Florida as the only other ones moving the radar. Both would have to have perfect timing. But considering who is there now, I don't see that happening.
Just heard the UF announcer from Jacksonville say that he thinks CDD is gone after this year and that HE thinks that Gruden is in. What does everybody think about that??:unsure:
He was less than a major target. Interest was gauged. At that point in his career and where we were there was no way. It's still very, very, very unlikely. But, people would be shocked if they knew some of the conversations that have taken place since.
Please show me where I said this would happen.
I'll wait.
The bold part is utter BS and it is BS in a major way, Gruden if he ever coaches again it will be at the next level not in college. I seriously doubt he would give up his freedom to return to UT for one and he makes more money with his current gig then we would ever offer him.
