What time is Gruden speaking at the SEC media days? Hope he does a better job of representing the University of Tennessee than Dooley. NOT!!!

For now, CDD is our coach. He will be our coach, at least until he proves he doesn't deserve the job. Quit the BS of trying to create negativism. Stop hoping to be the first pessimist to say I told you so.
We have a great opportunity this season and if you pathetic Negavols don't disrupt the positive feelings our players have, we just might chop down the bean stalk.Slither back under your moss-covered rock bone-head and slime your way back out after this season is over. Without your hatred and contempt for the program, we might see a result we can all be proud of.

The boys putting on the Orange and White don't need your kind of non-support when they run through the "T" to represent our university.

GO VOLS, MAKE US PROUD AGAIN.

Ok, I'll speak slowly so everyone can understand. I just said that I heard it on WNML at the SEC football media days. Just thought it was interesting, thats all.
I am and always will be a Dooley Fan as long as he is here.

I read the louisville cards blog bc i have friends on there and talk a little trash every once in a while. I found this topic and thought there was some interesting comments from herbstreit. TIFWIW, I'm not trying to start any rumors. I support the coach at UT now matter what. This is from a UofL poster on there site.

Kirk Herbstreit Visited my Office Today (Long) (3 votes)
I work for Kellogg's who makes Cheez-It. Cheez-It is a major sponsor for College Game Day. We brought Herbstreit to my office in Bentonville, AR today where he did a Q&A for an hour, then signed autographs, and allowed our employees and their families take photos with him. After that his handlers rushed him over to Bentonville High School where he was the MC for the 7 on 7 tourney over there.

The people I work with are predominantly Arkansas, Oklahoma, or Missouri fans. He gave a few of the Kansas fans a hard time. I'm the lone Louisville fan in the office, so I could only ask one question during the Q&A. My question was, "In the BCS Era the Big East has outperformed the ACC by a wide margin in BCS Bowl games. Why, then, does the media give the ACC such a free pass while constantly bashing the Big East?"

Before he answered he said "Nobody is recording this session, right? No cell phones or iPhones or anything like that?" Everybody kind of laughed, but that led me to believe that anything he said that could possibly be construed as negative towards the ACC would get him in hot water. Anyway, he said that if everybody saw what he sees week in and week out it would be so obvious that the Big East isn't a BCS caliber conference. He said if the conference was so good why would Syracuse, Pitt, West Virginia, Miami, BC, and Virginia Tech all leave. He flat out said, (and I quote) "The Big East is a joke." His point is that it is a basketball conference and controlled by the basketball schools and that it's a sinking ship. He asked me who my team was and I responded "Louisville." He said that Jurich was the best AD in the country and that Louisville is a team on the teetering on the precipice right now and they need to get out of the Big East fast...really fast.

There were questions about the Petrino ordeal at Arkansas. He said that John L. was the perfect hire. His personality and antics will keep the media's interest and keep them from rehashing that embarrassing Petrino saga over and over and over again. He said Petrino will turn up somewhere because he's a great coach. He didn't know anything more than that.

In response to the question, "Who will be the next coach at Arkansas?" he responded that he was with John Gruden at a Kenny Chesney concert a few weeks ago. From that conversation he got the distinct impression Gruden was itching to get back into coaching, and it will most likely be at the college level. He said he didn't think Arkansas would be attractive enough for him, but he mentioned that the Tennessee job, should it come open, would be attractive to Gruden. 15 minutes later when asked about coaches on the hot seat he mentioned that the Tennessee coach was most at risk this year. Interesting...

He said Denard Robinson was holding Michigan back. Michigan will be title contender once they get a legit pro-style QB running their offense. He said Michigan can't run the type of offense they want to because Robinson is so limited in the passing game. He said Michigan will be title contender in 2013.

He said Ohio State will win 10 or 11 games this year. Urban Meyer's recruiting job has been amazing. Said Jim Delaney's willingness to approve the "top four" in the new playoff system was likely influenced by the fact that the Big 10 will have great shot to have two teams in the top 4 given the rapid rate of improvement at Ohio State and Michigan.

Other than that there were questions about his favorite campus for College Game Day (he said they all have their good and bad points), he talked about his work schedule from Thursday morning of game week through early Sunday morning (little to no sleep), and answered a lot of questions about how Missouri and Texas A&M will fare in the SEC (not too good initially).

He also said West Virginia will be the surprise team in 2012 and is his pick to win the Big 12.

Herbie like Gminski in college BB is probably one of the most objective analysts IMO.

Question is we go 8 and 4 or 9 and 3 with a bowl win and Gruden he informs (silently) to Hart that he wants the TN job does Hart fire Dooley?

First off, Gruden doesn't seem like the silent type, and secondly, no, given your guidelines.

I use to think that all of the Gruden to TN talk was stupid and anyone talking about it was either living a fantasy or just messing with those who wanted to believe.

I have to say when you read different quotes of his about coming home to TN, his relationships here and the program it does make me think he would like to come back here and coach.

I'm a Doolaid man and personally believe TN is going to shock a lot of people in the college football world!

I do believe he would consider coaching here if he were available and we had a position but I dont believe we will have a position any time soon!

That would be tough. I think if there was any indication last year of interest, Hart would have hired him before the team got back from Lexington.

Idk how you can pass up gruden. It may not be fair to Dooley, whom I really like and want to succeed, but if gruden is truly interested I would say we might have to pull the trigger. I doubt that if Dooley does well this year gruden will say anything though.

Gruden---works 1-2 days per week at espn, makes $4.3 million. He would not give that up to work 90 hours per week in a college job, with pressure to win every week against top teams, on the road recruiting in no name cities and towns, etc. He's got a dream job.

I am still drinking the Doolaid but not the Chaneyaid !!!! Wish Dooley and Vols best of luck this year and they are going to whip some butts that the media will be shocked about.

I can't agree with him not giving up his ESPN job. Gruden has alot of years ahead of him in the coaching world and will return to the sidelines soon. Not a doubt in my mind.
