Gun control debate (merged)

Was this intended for me because I don't don't give two shizzes about your child porn comparison. In fact I've given you an (stated thus because there could be more) example from the top office in the whole nation of catastrophic stupid being sold as gun knowledge. I stand by my quote with plenty of vetting in support. It just adds that special little something when you can cite the POTUS backing up your argument.
Stand by your quote all you wish. No one disputed the accuracy, just that it was obvious and had no meaning.
Here's one for you; the extent to which it doesn't rain is inversely proportional to the number of clouds in the sky.
It's got a touch of that "No sh!t Sherlock" to it.

The only thing that matters. I'm sure the forum will be pleased you recognize the fact. There'll be some bemusement as to why you'd make something of a statement you consider, if anything, nothing but a bit too obvious for your tastes but whatever.

I would imagine some sort of tangible progress on gun crime.

What is your desired result?
Different policies would have different immediate desired results. All of them would ultimately be geared toward having a more sensible and safe gun culture in our country.

I'm guessing that the extent to which someone is anti-child porn is overwhelmingly inversely proportional to the extent of their knowledge of the subject.

It's a really dumb point.
Talking about a dumb point.....you just compared knowledge of something that against the law and immoral to something that is neither. You should really work on your comparisons and just general awareness. Dang man.

That’s pretty abstract, especially the “sensible” portion.

Assume all your proposals are implemented. How are you measuring “more safe”?

I was this many days old when I watched video evidence of a pistol with 5.7x28mm piercing level2, 2a, and level3 plates. Already love the pistol my buddy has...love the 21+ round capacity, love the 2000fps+ muzzle velocity, love the ~30% less recoil and muzzle climb compared to most 9mm pistols....but mostly love the fact that using my friends pistol that i dont even have much practice with, I can damn near drive nails with it at 10 to 15 yards and it isnt even mine. Its not a matter of "headshot or center mass?" But rather " Right eye or left?".

I know the ammo is expensive. I know he paid $1200 for that pistol which is also expensive. I want very few things in life for myself...but I want 1 of those and a few hundred rounds. So much fun to shoot. Probably give one to my daughter in a couple years when she turns 18...after i teach her to drive tacks with it.

I see you cleaned up in here Doc so i cant quote you...but thanks again for suggesting the Keltec. I dont carry a gun in the car nor concealed so i would like one of these for myself. Then a pistol standard sized for my daughter later on.

This guy does a lengthy test and review of the Keltec...starts out talking junk before he ever fires it...then proceeds to not miss once from 50yds nor 80yds lol. Ends the video talking about how much he likes it and how its fun to shoot. Learned in the comments that dude didnt read the manual...which said how to load magazines correctly and to oil the gun before using it too. He did neither lol. Anyway heres the video about that 50rd beast that pierces body armor and only weighs 3.5lbs without the magazine

Thanks Doc! My buddy has the Belgian variety but not the newest 1 in the video. Is Palmetto acceptable though? I know they're not gonna be quite as good as the high dollar brands...but are they pretty reliable? I have heard about bad ARs from P.A. but they were also probably $400 or $500 brand new and I also know that "AR" is really just a platform or type of rifle...that everything from caliber to barrel length, buttstock to sights can be completely different from 1 AR to the next...do you have any Palmetto stuff? I appreciate any and all info from you guys. Thanks bud

Edit NM...thats a Keltec so not made by them in house anyway. Oh my that pistol holds 50 rounds lmao! So you can go from 55 grain barely subsonic to 40 grain 2000+fps rounds that tumble after impact. That video showed 12in penetration in ballistic gel after going thru lvl3 plate with the 40 grain. I bet its a tack driver like the Belgian pistol too with that long barrel. Thanks Doc I want 1 badly
I've actually thought about getting one. It's kind of a novelty gun, but pretty awesome.

On Palmetto: I have shopped with them plenty of times with nothing but top-notch experience. I've done probably 6 builds with their kits, no problems. I can do an AR pistol or 16" for around $500, which makes it a great option if you want to paint it or something. I'm thinking about a Stormtrooper build next. I would definitely drop a good (SSA-E, etc) trigger in there, as that's the weakest link. Their ammo (AAC) is really good too. IIRC, my first service gun that started my hobby was actually from there (50s SKS).

Agree 100%. And none of those policies have anything to do with the 2A.

what the heck is an assault rifle? a supersized 22? with a MAGA clip?
Here you go:

Drawing from federal and state law definitions, the term assault weapon refers primarily to semi-automatic rifles, pistols, and shotguns that are able to accept detachable magazines and possess one or more other features. Some jurisdictions define revolving-cylinder shotguns as assault weapons.
