My guess is she has no idea what was really happening. Someone fed her a story about bad illegals buying guns and she applied it to her situation for some air time

Her implication is that they are running them through the background check and they're coming back . If the system says it's ok to sell them then they aren't at risk to sell them i would think. My guess it's false too but who knows? Nothing surprises me these days.

I would think the bosses could do it. I have taken several moral stances, counter to office policy, and not had issue with it. Granted I have been upfront with my bosses, not thrown attitude around with it, and not made an issue with the clients or the public when it involved them.

if she doesn't feel taking a moral stance, assuming it is an issue for her, is allowed at her place of employment she shouldn't be working there.
