Has the talent capped under Butch?

I told y'all yesterday to engage the deadbolts. If we depend on that little swingy lock thingy we will never be free of them. They have learned to use simple tools and we have to up our security game.

What are you talking about? First most of those top 10s were on the sidelines in a walking boot or sling. Do you really think we go 9-4 without 20 injuries? Get real.
Second, nobody is arguing that this is a great class. You really are a troll

Awfully hard to reconcile the fact that the defense played more than adequately against USC but that's where the injuries hit by far the hardest.

Vandy is a bit better of an argument, but the secondary was reasonably healthy for the 12th game of the season so...

Dang, you're right. Guess they aren't gone yet. Need a dog to help herd them back into the FF

Do I think we should have beat both Vandy and SC even down players yes I do. Especially coming off
a bye week. The backups we had should have been able to handle a bare SC team. Plain and simple

At least I actually watch the games. I bet you loved that Hail Mary against VT to win the game, didn't you? Those 38 unanswered points to come from behind and beat Mizzou was awesome also weren't they?

You mean it didn't happen against App or was that an ill advised throw late to Wolf?

True, but injuries were definitely a factor. The Fils-Aime fumble that led to a TD. Warrior blew a coverage that left a guy wide open in the end zone. Neither of those guys are playing if Kamara or Berry/Abernathy are healthy. But with SC, Dobbs played a horrible game. It happens, but he was really bad that game. Maybe Butch should have pulled him, but hard to make that decision in a close game.

As far as Vandy, yes the secondary was reasonably healthy, but still had no DTs allowing plenty of running room and plenty of time to pass. Also, Cam may have been back but he wasn't the same and that's clear. Better offensive teams weren't doing that to us at the first of the season. The only difference is the injuries

Never mind they couldn't tackle and set school records over and over or is this considered not watching too?

Even though there were 20 injuries you think 9-4 is the best that Butch could do, even if those guys had been healthy? Interesting

Get out of here with your reason! No one will accept these logical reasons that the season was derailed. Didn't you know that 3rd and 4th string players are supposed to play like starters even though they never started before!?!? Also, every DE should be able to play DT, even though they never have and they are under sized?!?!

Isn't interesting that Bama loses two players (Scarbrough and Jackson) and it cost them a NC, we lose 10 players or more and everyone expects to win the East.

Alabama could have lost 20 players and beat SC and Vandy. IMO

Also UT got very lucky to beat APPY...with a healthy roster.

FL was beat up good to and went to LSU and won.

Every freshmen we get should start and play at an all conference and all American level!!!!

lol exactly! Everyone tries to use the "no matter the injuries we were still more talented" argument for SC and Vandy. Experience matters, especially in the SEC.

Nobody is arguing that Tn played great this season. There were problems all year. They were however, 5-0 before they started dropping like flies. And Florida's injuries weren't even comparable to ours on defense.

Appy wins if Hurd isn't standing near the ball. Healthy roster.

We played terrible against App state, we get it. But we scored 38 unanswered on a completely healthy Florida defense and embarrassed them by making them quit. So...

We get it we got piled drived by the bottom feeders bc of injuries ha...

Actually I still believe they could have beaten those 2 with our injuries

But they were healthy when we scored 38 unanswered. They were down 2 starters on defense. They weren't playing 3rd, 4th and 5th string guys with very little playing experience if any at multiple positions. Again, it's not close.

I do too, but when Dobbs played terrible against SC that was a problem. Against Vandy, our defense made Shurmur look like Peyton, that's how bad it was. Wasn't that bad earlier in the season, so again, injuries. I don't know what happened to offense that game tho. Dobbs actually played great minus the 2nd half fumble but nothing worked in the 2nd half. Not sure why. Coaching is definitely part of that. But to act like a team as depleted as we were could not have done better if fully healthy is completely absurd

Our cheerleaders should beat Vandy and USC. Our raw recruits who are still in high school should be able to come in and beat those two teams with no practices.

That was strange Dobbs throwing it in the dirt. He had a TD run of like 30 yds that was called back. I thought they should have ran him more in that game when it was obvious he couldn't throw it that night

Im sure TN could have beat SC healthy...but CBJ still has to prove he can beat Muschamp. But like I say....I believe TN should have won regardless injured or not
