The 2 opening episodes were very slow and not much added to the story line. I guess that will change next week but I was expecting some shockers week by week and the battle later toward the end. I hope they don't just tread water then wrap it all up in an hour.

There are roughly 5 hours of show left. It will take around an hour and a half or so to wrap up the WWs, leaving 3.5 hours to settle the Iron Throne and get resolution for certain characters (Cleganebowl, Jaime and Cersei, Jon vs. Dany).

i dunno about that....the whole Jon is the rightful heir to the throne and is a targarian being revealed to him, and danny was pretting big.

getting Jamie and Bran in the same room was pretty big....

Aya and Jon reuniting, Brianne and Jamie reuniting....

the dynamic between Sansa and Danny.....very interesting.

i guess there wasn't anything "new", so i get what you're saying...but there were plenty of meaningful moments to the story line.....

I just not convinced the WW story ends and they move on to the others. I just don’t see a clear happy ending and ultimately, the throne isn’t worth sitting on so who cares about it. Basically death and decimation, an apocalyptic event

dunno about that now....

but i do think that things will happen while fighting the ww that will impact whatever happens after.

no way all the main players make it out of ww battles to the other side. i dont' think it'll be as clean as Jon and Danny show up in Kings landying to take on Cercie and the greyjoy.......

circumstances will dictate what happens next.

yeah, agreed. some folks are gonna die in the next episode or two i'd imagine. lol. may resolve some issues on it's own? lol.

but there's 4 episodes left, right? and if i heard/read correctly, i think they're all over 60 minutes and up to 80 minutes long?

so it's going to push 5 hours. that's 2 really long moives. plenty of time to get there, especially now that a lot of the character wrap up stuff is done from the last two episodes.

yeah, it's hard to believe she's literally grown up on this show....reminds me of the Carl character on TWD.

so it was still a little awkward watching that....she's still the youngest daughter....not a woman that should be doing that!@!!

White Walkers can summon skeletons from the ground that they did not kill. The Giants he has are from the assault on the wall maybe, if Mance didn't burn them. They looked fairly "fresh".

The giants he has are not from the assault on the wall. They were killed by the Night King before the assault on the wall even happened. And White Walkers can just summon random skeletons. That not how his powers work.

If the battle with the WW ends next week I will be disappointed. I hope it permeates through the last minutes of the program.

The crypts under Winterfell will make a very convenient location to kill off a ton of secondary and perhaps a few main characters in one fell swoop. Due to pacing and preserving emotional impacts of more prominent deaths, they can't reserve screentime for every impending death IMO. I think we will see the crypts get overrun with wights (from the outside) and many deaths will take place offscreen.

Do you have a source for this? You seem very confident in that fact but I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere.

Been waiting on her reunion with Arya that was mentioned I think in season 2. Arya and Gendry were talking about her, so maybe some foreshadowing.

Soap opera stuff....used to heads being crushed and dragons being killed, otherwise you are correct.

A common prediction is that Nymeria will reappear and die while saving Arya... I think that would be a little too cheesy for Game of Thrones, but we'll see.
