HBO's "Game of Thrones"

They have definitely shown her as to only having her eyes on the prize this season ... since learning of Jon's heritage, she has only shown a concern as to how it impacts the succession to the throne, it just seems like an "Oh, my God! I've been f***ing my nephew." moment might have been in order.
Incest means nothing to Targaryens. Her parents were brother and sister. Before being forced to marry Khal Drogo, she assumed she'd marry her own brother. A nephew is expanding the gene pool in this case.

Killing Cersei will be his redemption story. All the evil he did, he did for her. Killing her will be breaking the chains.
I hope that is how it plays out. I'm preparing to have my heart broken by this story. I've always thought he would be the one to do it.

I am concerned that they do. I really hate that they have decided to turn Dany into a raging maniac. She knows how to be ruthless, but she always cared for people.

Except she’s lost everyone that has shown loyalty to her except Greyworm. Khal Drogo, Barristan Selmy, Missandei, Jorah, Daario, two of her dragons. She literally has Greyworm and that’s it. And she knows it.

I'm thinking Dany hears about Varys questioning her sanity and has Drogon toast him.

She is dumb now, she has Jon Snow and if she was smart she would join with him, and use his considerable magnetism to pull her forces together..instead of having to dominate him. If she was smart that is what she would do. Aegon the Conqueror did not rule the Seven Kingdoms by himself, and he could not have done it without his sister wives, even the one he did not like at all.

If that happens, it will solidify her becoming the Mad Queen. I think Tyrion eventually offs her, much like Jaime took out her father.

Just read an article about tonight's episode, apparently some people are upset that the only black woman on GoT was not only killed, but was in chains when it happened. Why do some make everything about race?
Stupidity..and what they don't understand is that doing that only makes equity and unity between the races even more hard to grasp.

I hope all you life haters are happy, it looks like you all are going to get everything you hoped for after all...no Kumbaya ending, just loveless death and chaos..that much seems sure to me. I wish this would end more like The Wheel of Time, while it is not all sunshine and roses, neither is it a depressing heartrender.

Another quiet episode before another large battle episode. I'm fine with that set-up because it was a lot of intrigue and pieces being moved around the board. It's clearly going down in the next episode, especially considering it's directed by the same guy that directed The Long Night, Battle of the Bastards, and Hardhome. The most disappointing part of that episode by far was just just dipping out without so much as a word to Ghost. *******.

Something bad is coming from all that.
Looking at it from an outside perspective, it's not Dany's fault that incest has bred madness within her. Her parents were siblings. There's going to be genetic defects. As she watches those closest to her slip away, it just drives her that much closer to loss of sanity. Her father was good at first, until the madness took him.

She is not insane, the old saying was that the Targs were like flipping a coin, you could get a great leader or a lunatic. I hate that they decided to make her a villain.

Over the first seven seasons she wasn't insane. That doesn't mean she can't have a breakdown. She's lost two of her dragon children, Khal Drogo, her own unborn child, Jorah, and Missandei. What kept her going was her destiny. Now she's obsessed with the Iron Throne and she finds out the man she loves has a greater claim to it. No one starts out crazy. Losing your mind is a gradual process.

I understand why you don't want it to happen. They've done such a good job crafting her character and making you love her. But at the same time, all of her losses, and now this with Jon, not to mention her own father going mad, they've given her good cause if she does end up slipping over the edge. It's not like a snap of a finger and she's lost her mind. They've built up to it through story. And that part of it I can appreciate.

I love it just because not everyone fulfills what they think is their destiny, not everyone stays a good person when they accrue power, not everyone that thinks they are doing the right thing is. I think it's a great turn for her.

Some wildcards that may weigh in...two which were lightly (almost dismissively) addressed in the episode. Yara Greyjoy regained the Iron Islands while Euron is otherwise occupied. They built him this great fleet in remarkably quick fashion (with seemingly no natural resources), they cease capability in that department? Yara sails to Dorne and picks up their scoffed at military and brings it when needed? I don’t think they’d cheat and bring new dragons into the scenario, but anyone else feel Nymeria and that pack of wolves could be a player? Possibilities definitely not likely but fun to contemplate.

I think the army of Dorne and Yara are both going to play a part, no real reason to name drop them otherwise imo.
