HBO's "Game of Thrones"

I get what you're saying. But, I think that there are people here and other places where I debate these points, who seem to believe that it cannot be realistic unless more people die. I think more people will. It is a full-fledged war, after all, and people do die in wars. I am just saying I hope it's not a situation where no one is left standing. I think it can still be very realistic with some of my own personal favorites surviving in the end.
i hear ya. and i htink some of hte favorites will make it, obviously, and i think you'll get some satisfaction from a couple others that die.

but i mean really, aside from Cerci, and maybe the Mountain, who else do you hate enough to say "yeah, they gotta die", that hasn't already.

well it's a TV show, designed to entertain. so i'm not sure i'd call it rooting/wanting anyone to win per se.

are there better endings than others? sure. can any of the scenarios presented be entertaining as hell? yep.

i mean, empire strikes back had a terrible ending for the good guys, but was definitely one of the best sw movies made.....the Departed....ended TERRIBLY for our hero undercover cop....but it was a great story/movie.

anywho.....i'm looking forward to the next two episodes. should get real interesting, real fast.
ESB was not the finale however.

Qyburn, I think. Euron is a fop, but not as bad as Cersei, of course.

HBO did similar with Boardwalk Empire, lay the groundwork of a great story with many angles then throw all the loose ends in a bucket to finish the storyline in a very unfulfilling way.

There really hasn't been much that's strayed from the "generic movie template" since probably Petyr Baelish getting killed. It's not been a bad show, but it feels pretty generic at this point.
Deadwood too. It seems to be a common thing with HBO. They build a great story, it goes for a few years then the beancounters see how much money they're spending and want to cut the show short. Now GoT may be one that the actors involved may have wanted to end it.

This season should have at least been two more episodes. Everything seems contrived and unnatural. They started at the ending and said how can we get there from here.

My gut would have me voting on Gendry.

I'd guess Jon, Sansa, Tyrion or Dany in no specific order will end up on the iron throne unless, as someone thought possible earlier....they go back to 7 kingdoms with no one ruling.

King Gendry would be a comedy show.
