I really wanted her to be the queen she said she was for 8 seasons but the writing was on the wall for all of them that she was a ticking time bomb filled with madness. It just took everything that happened to set it off.

Fair question..at this point out of pure morbid curiosity to see if the leaks I saw were completely true (so far 100% for the last two epsiodes) I will watch to see if they actually go through with the ridiculous ending that those leaks say happen...if they are...all of you guys are going to be just as pissed as I am right now at the creators of this story...so far the leaks are 100% true.

Is it a huge leap for Daenerys, though? She was murdering people for not bending the knee. Name one world ruler that publicly murders political opponents who you don't think is capable of genocide?

Maybe one of the insightful takeaways from GOT is that you got caught up in hero worship, and you couldn't see the terrible signs along the way. This happens IRL, particularly with demagogues. If this was the intent of the writers, good God, that's a pretty spectacular demonstration of the phenomenon.

When Daeny killed the Tarleys, my thought was "she's not a 'good guy' anymore". Not trying to claim I saw genocide coming, tho.
