HBO's "Game of Thrones"

I don't think either rule in the end, and I haven'tfor a long time. But I thought that it would be a better, and more plausible ending than the one the leaks say they have planned...I'm serious...it is ridiculous.

I really hope at this point that the leaks are true...that way everybody will remember this story with the same disgust I now do. GRRM and B&W deserve for this to be hated.
Seriously? I hated the Star Wars prequels but they didn't ruin the original trilogy for me. Those were great movies. Even though these last two seasons haven't gone the way you (or many other book readers had envisioned), you should still be able to appreciate the first 6 seasons for what they were.

Yeah...seriously. It ruins the whole story for me.

I think it will end with her killing Jon for "betrayal" after he tries to defend Tyrion. Aryia fails to kill Dany. Last scene is from Sansa's pov on the winterfell wall, as she see Drogon and Dany diving on winterfell the screen cuts to black.

To me that goes along with her whole kill everyone that's against me, burn them all vibe, and a good ole GoT twist.

Lol..That would suck, but it would be better than what they supposedly have planned.

McGill isn't the only one having a melt down over the way the show has been going. I think a majority of the audience was very attached to Dany, Jaime or both, and wanted Cersei to get what she deserved. OTOH, everyone loved the hound, but felt satisfied with his story even though he died.

The journey of often better than the destination... Lol

I just want a clear winner. No riding the fence stuff. The last shot of the next episode should be someone sitting on the Iron Throne.

Melt downs aside...I think everyone would say there are things that could have been done better.

The overreaction tho...

theyll try to act like it was poetic but it was flat out stupid and a missed opportunity. My thoughts on how it should have gone down..

Cleagane bowl is fine, Dany flipping is fine but I would have liked to see

Dany kills Euron during the battle with her dragon but before she goes into the keep.

If we are going away from book prophecy, Arya not suddenly quit her quest to kill Cersei at her doorstep but rather meet her after she bolts the Cleagane bowl. Cersei pleads for Arya to spare her but when its obvious that arya is unfazed, Cersei starts to get nasty and Arya stabs her in the throat with needle.

Dany is then killed by Jamie in the throne room, who is wandering the keep and finds Cersei dead to complete the Mad Queen arc, Jon then stabs Jamie and Jamie has a few redeeming words about Mad King/Queen garbage before Jon just leaves him to die.

something like that. idk.
Lmao this is garbage

I'm just the one venting the most. I think Daenarys Stormborn, The mother of Dragons, The Breaker of Chains, The Khaleesi of the great grass sea..blah blah blah...deserves better than this.

They made her the true villain of the whole story...not the Night King...not Cercei Lannister..not Stannis Baratheon, Euron Greyjoy, Joffrey Baratheon ir Ramsey Bolton..they made Dany THE boss of boss villains.

And so many people here are cool with this...blows my mind.

Who here thinks the hero of a story murders political opponents?

I think we can establish Dany went to the dark side last season, at the latest.

So she made a bad decision that she didn't even want to do, she almost begged the Tarlys to not force her hand...and that means she is a genocidal maniac with no redeemable qualities? Dang man...she literally just almost lost her life saving...all life. Can you really not see what a massive logic jump this is for people like me? It is unbelievable.

Yeah that's when tyrian and varys knew there was a problem.

They just thought they could manage it.

Jorah was the key for her, he's the only one that could talk her OUT of doing things. Missande accepted her word as gospel. She never totally trusted tyrian and varys... Saw both as more a means to an end once she got to westeros.

I don't think everyone is cool with that at all-- and you are right, she is the true villain of the story, the way it looks now. Lots of people rooted for her, and Cercei apparently is going to get the more sympathetic ending of the two. This has been talked about all day, along with Jaime throwing away his redemption arc. I've come to terms with Jaime, at least, because he would be worse if he went and killed his own baby to fulfill some prophesy.

It wasn't like that on the show. The only one begging was tyrian... To not kill them. He even said.. Fine kill the dad... Spare the son so the line lives on...

She gave an ultimatum. It wasn't a negotiation

We already knew the Emperor died, the Death Star was destroyed, and the Light side of the Force won out in the end for Anakins soul...it made it impossible for them to ruin the overall story.

He did in a way.
Lead them into the place where they died.

I'm new to hanging out in this thread, but I've been firmly on "Team Daenerys" since I started watching the show, rewatch included, and reading the books (I'm on Clash of Kings). But I always knew in the back of my mind since season 2 that this was a possible outcome. It doesn't lessen her story for me; I do love a "fallen" character arc. Yeah, the fan boy in me wanted her to not give in to her darker side and be the true breaker of chains. But the signs were there from the beginning. I've enjoyed watching her story unfold, albeit in a much darker direction.

I understand the issues with pacing that people have. But I don't really agree that what happened is out of character for Dany.

Jaime's end felt strange. He has been on this huge redemption kick for so long, then he runs back to a woman that ordered his death to die in a crypt, consoling her. I thought that was odd.

Sad thing about all of our complaining is that Sandor's last episode was great. His scenes with Arya this episode were amazing and very touching. I loved that she called him by his actual name. And that he basically said, "you wanna be like me? You'll die in this place if you do."

I will rewatch it this week, but I don't think it was as bad as the consensus here. It definitely wasn't seasons 1-4 caliber GOT, but it wasn't horrible either.

Jmo, sorry for the diatribe.

😁 Come on Butchie...you calling me out for being a big meanie is the pot callin the kettle black. You have made your fair share of aggravated assault posts..

Once again...I'm supremely vexed, but in a "I hate you for beating me at monopoly again" kind of way..not serious.
I don’t lose control over things I have no control over. Game of Thrones and recruiting where you and Bass ride those dragons. 😉

I never said it was a negotiation. She was obviously not wanting to fry them at first, she told them to bow or die, and they would not bow...their choice to force her hand, fry them or show everyone in Westeros she was too weak to do what she said she would. At least it was obvious to me at the time. It was bad, but it wasn't frying hundreds of thousands of babies bad.
