If you've seen the end of season 3 of Banshee, you've seen how messy a shotgun blast from that range is.

I think Vaughn is alright, but that opening monologue didn't strike a chord with me at all. That shakedown scene was great, though.

Kitsch's character is intriguing. He clearly is haunted by his past - will probably be revealed later.

I think he is doing pretty good for a somewhat serious role.

Regarding Colin getting blasted, agree that it didn't look lethal. No visible blood from the first shot and the second would have left a softball sized hole in his torso.

Aren't there beanbag shells that riot police use that are fired from shotguns??

So far all are good but that scene with Taylor Kitsch and his gf where they broke up was pretty terrible. The dialogue was like a bad soap opera.

True, but not as bad as the actress who plays Vince Vaughn's wife. She's terrible. I cringe everytime she has lines to speak.

Yeah, she was on that terrible ABC show last summer where she played the mentally ill doctor. It only lasted a season.

If I'm being honest this season so far has been particularly boring. If we look at the most entertaining scenes of each episode it's Velcoro beating up the kids dad in the first episode and then Velcoro getting shot in the second episode that are the most entertaining parts of the two episodes thus far.

Dude got shot point blank in the stomach with a shotgun. Even if he was wearing a vest that shot was too low for the vest to have blocked it.

That scene didn't seem that bad to me, at least no where near as bad as Vaughn's opening monologue.

It was bad because essentially they were just saying the same thing over and over back to each other.
