Heated exchange between Nick Saban and Paul Finebaum

Saban is an arrogant POS. To think the media shouldn't be able to ask him questions? Did you see Mullen act like that? No he answered and acted like an adult.

Now go ahead all of you sycophants and defend his actions. And don't give me the lFinebaum is a douche" because he acts this way with all members of the media. He's a POS.

True, Butch does seem "heavy handed" at times.

I think of Von Pearson and the time he missed practicing while his case was cleared up.

He is consistent though.

I think it might be time for Nicky to start thinking about hanging it up. He can't seem to control his players, his coaches or his temper.

Saban also lashed out against a reporter who dared to question why he accepted Jonathan Taylor as a transfer from Georgia after he had been charged with an assault. The SEC has since implemented a rule against allowing transfers who have pending domestic assault charges against them. His solution is to bully and intimidate the media into dropping the subject. Some people on this forum seem equally whipped. It's kind of pathetic. I don't care how many championships Saban has won, he deserves some criticism here.

The problem is he thinks he's above being even asked the question. Finebutt should've pressed more and asked him why he reacts so strongly. Most people do that when they are guilty of something. Off camara or not I would tell that little Nicky with the high heels on that I would kick his butt if he even dared to talk to me like that. He is just a little Napoleon bully.

The stolen gun that was illegally obtained coupled with drugs in the car should have resulted with charges, IMO. I think the police botched the case which is why charges were dismissed.

I find it interesting that Saban thinks that having them perform community service will change their behaviors. Sitting them out for a game or part of a game will make more of the impact and send the message to other players that charges or no charges this type of behavior is not acceptable.

You honestly dont't think they got off because they're football players?

"I want to emphasize once again that the main reason I'm doing this is that I refuse to ruin the lives of two young men who have spent their adolescence and teenage years, working and sweating, while we were all in the air conditioning," district attorney Jerry Jones

Translation: The boosters check cleared so you young men are free to go...

If that's really what he said then I can't believe he still has a job

I'm with Saban on this, who gives a $$$$ what anyone thinks about the way he handled this situation. The charges were dropped and that's really it. Did he do something stupid YES!! I think the kids got off pretty easy but the law and the courts are there for a reason.

Sounds like what Penn St. said about Sandusky's behavior for years. They just let it slide as long as he was wasn't arrested. If these two guys wind up victimizing someone on campus, I hope they sue Bama for every penny.

I don't see why some of you are complicating a simple matter. Had the press bowed down to Dan and Butch the same as they did Nick, or had they handed him the same obvious queries that would've proven they had no prejudices, then all this cussin' and discussin' wouldn't even be taking place. Let's suppose Frieze at Ole Miss will be just as disrespected as Dan and Butch. I was in my car most of today listening to Siruis XM's ESPN College and the whole crew there was pretty PO'd over the discrepant disregard for UT's and MSU's coaches as compared with their nadless handling of the uber-feared Nicky. You can't blame Saban for simply reacting as if he's calling the shots there...because he is. He'll continue lying to and bullying the press, just as well as allowing big bucks to be passed out to recruits as long as he's not being collectively called out for doing so. At least Finebaum had enough fortitude to dish out what the other wimps were too chicken to bring up...yet those hungover press rats displayed overt shallowness by deluging Dan and then Butch with absolutely no respect as compared to how they handled Saban. Hopefully, you Saban worshipers will soon pick up on what an overt narcissist that little Napoleon is. Personally...I'll enjoy watching him go down with his troops, which sooner or later's going to happen. Let's end theirs' and the gayduh's streaks this year. Kudos to Dan and Butch and Hugh for their more resolute handling of their bad boys.

Wow, I can not believe that the district attorney has not gotten blasted by this, but why am I surprised... it's the team in burgundy.

I don't understand why this seems to be a situation where you are either in Saban's corner or Finebaum's.

I don't think either did anything wrong.

Finebaum asked the tough question. Saban supported his players who aren't being charged.

No one has to be "wrong" here.

He was ripped pretty hard, actually. Lots of editorials killing him over it.

I think most people (such as myself) are more appalled by the DA's statement than anything... It is Saban's job to win football games and Finebaum's job to make news-worthy stories... but a DA should be equally enforcing the law.

Yet he still has a job. He should be fired for that.

Normally I would agree that if not charged, I probably not suspend player, but he knows good and well they should have charged and deserves a least a suspension.

You can't just fire elected officials.

If Robinson had any reason to know the gun was stolen, I agree. But there has been nothing from LA or AL authorities that suggests that he did. As such, it's weed and no one is getting suspended for weed.

Dan Mullen, Cam Robinson, Nick Saban, Mr. Tunsil, Hugh Freeze etc. etc.

I think OP is referring to them taking the negative spotlight off of us. I mean, who's talking about our Title IX case or settlement now?

Edit: Merged.

You know as well as anyone Saban has bullied the media in Alabama to the point they're scared to ask anything even semi controversial of the mean little midget. People look the other way because he wins. But that doesn't make it right. He's a POS of a person.

Did anyone catch that comment by Dari Nowkhah saying that Saban owns the media? Network was going to break but didn't cut the audio. Awkward

It's true. Most are scare to confront him. Hell, SDS and SEC Country are calling him a winner over his actions. His behavior isn't new for him. He's a mean little midget.
