Helmet sticker on the way?

No but this is just another motivational tool. Like the Vol Olympics and the individual awards handed out during the OW game for hard work during the spring. This is just a little something that this staff is doing to ensure max effort from a team that is probably less talented than 6 of the twelve teams they play this year. I dig it.

If 102,000 Volunteer fans all clad in orange cheering their heads off for you isn't motivation enough for you to give you all for Tennessee today then no sticker will.

Now how much does said sticker weigh? Is said sticker aerodynamically feasible? We don't need the players expending any extra energy. If they do, some on VN will cause an uproar.

anchor down is dumb but brick by brick is ok.. i see the logic if ut does it then great but if another coach has the same way to motivate via a slogan its stupid... vn at its best...lol

one sticker im ok with but at some point u have to quit using gimmicks etc n just perform at a high level because thats the culture. r we there yet???? i dont know

Anchor down is dumb for the simple fact that if you anchor down you don't move. Vandy has always been at the bottom, so they want to stay there?

I'm all for it

Another tiny mental tool towards leaving it all on the field for a win. If you are on the field playing and you are the only player in your position without a sticker on your helmet....your other mates have one...then it is a motivation tool to not be the "WEAKEST LINK" on the team. A way to have further mental motivation to make a big play during the game. I am all for motivational tools...another way to get the most out of a kid and make sure

Motivation is the key to great leadership. I find it hard to believe that so many UT fans have a problem with our coach finally putting some creative motivational measures in place to light a spark under our team. It is long overdue. Butch is the man. And he gets it.

IMO nothing wrong with recognizing an individual who had an outstanding week of practice, game, etc.

If the staff was worried about players being deemed "better than everyone else" then we would just have 4 co-starters at every position to ensure everyone feels equal.

We're not talking about FSU tomahawks covering the whole helmet. I like this idea. It is essentially recognizing the previous wreaks MVP.

Anyone know how UGA fans felt when Richt added the bone stickers to the helmets?

Threads like this make me really glad I'm not a football coach.

Just to be safe, are you guys OK with me handing out stickers, temporary tattoos, and other treats after I examine my patients?

Give me a freakin' break and let the coach do his job.
