They might be better presidents, but they can't beat Obama.

Unless the GOP runs a stupid campaign... which they have a history of doing... Obama can be beaten by any of them... regardless of how ridiculous you think they are.

The GOP candidate only has to do one thing. Make the election about Obama's words compared to Obama's results... his guarantee that the stimulus package would prevent unemployment from going over 8%... his guarantee that Obamacare would save money... his assertion that if he didn't get the economy turned around in 3 years he deserved to be a one term President... his constant playing of the blame game... his increase of gov't payrolls while running huge deficits with a struggling private sector... his claim that unemployment payments were a great jobs program. He condemned Bush's deficits how many times before quadrupling them?

I mean honestly. The guy did all the hard work himself. All the GOP has to do is put it on a commercial.

I think you have too much faith in the typical voter. Remember, Bush got reelected...

What is it that is so bad about Cain? I love this guy and when he speaks I feel like he is preaching to my soul. The guy is smart, honest, and I believe he actually cares for his country. Why not vote for him over some politician?

Wow!

I don't know about that, but I like him too.

Although his book tour makes me wonder what his priority is. Maybe that tour will only be in the swing states, though.

You are highly overestimating the GOP

I love Cain... although I admit that I am not sure how I feel about the whole 9-9-9 plan but it does sound interesting. I'm definitely going to vote my heart in the primaries and vote him. But I'm not going to go running home all butt hurt if he doesn't win when it comes time for the General.

What if Cain gets the GOP nod. Will all the "rascist" teaparty/conservatives have to change our vote and give it to Obama, he is at least half white ya know? lol

The teaparty loves Cain.

He had a long interview on OutFront yesterday. He had a question about unemployment in the african american demographic and if affirmative action is still needed. His response was that the 9-9-9 plan could be reduced to 3-3-3 in areas that are troubled the most (his example being Detroit). like that won't be abused by politicians. I just don't think he's put a lot of thought into this plan.

Still though, he's a great interview because he doesn't back down and he isn't shaken at all by criticism (doesn't take it personally). He can take a tough question and then joke the next one. I guess it's his radio experience.
