Sorry, but there’s no special preparation necessary for Gaston.
Soft? Yeah…okayKids these days are soft. Just look at the playground equipment in 50s and 60s, and what's there now. And the amount of time spent outdoors running, bicycling, and climbing trees so high up it would make a towering spruce tree topper dizzy.
I wouldn’t say solid heh. Just likes to take those hot shots. It's comforting to know that we have a solid backup QB just in case.
Yes, said Nico was with the team today, but didn’t specify that he took snaps.Per WBIR, Heupel just said Nico was with the team and should be good to go on Saturday. Hopefully he's telling the truth.
If he clears protocol there is no reason for him not to play. Because if we don’t win this game we don’t make the playoffs. So this is the season. If he clears protocol he needs to playIf it is concussion protocol, and that's a big if, I hope they play Moore. We need Nico for the Vandy game and beyond. If Nico suffers a second injury while playing at less than 100%, it could be the end of the season. Ask undefeated 2023 Florida State what happens when you lose your starting QB. Eric Cain said today on his podcast that Nico didn't come back to the sideline after halftime Saturday because they didn't want to expose him to bright lights or loud noise. TIFWIW. I know football is a rough game and at this point in the season everyone is playing with some ailment. Concussions are a different animal though. If that's what it is.
He under threw his deep balls. Thankfully the MSU defenders never got their heads around to see where the ball was or those would likely have been picked off. UGA’s corners are much better and will know he throws those short so they will be looking for them.I am not saying that Gaston is the better option, but loading the box is not the best move. Gaston was more than capable on short and mid range passes, and with our 12 man package he would have time even on bring the house type blitzes.
With our defense, I think Heup will be happy enough if we stay within a score and play ball control until the end. I’m not anticipating a lot of fast pace stuff unless it works early.
While there is some merit to this, I will say his long term health is more important. Before anyone goes haywire, what I mean is if it is a borderline situation he should sit playoffs or no playoffs. Like others stated concussions can be seriousIf he clears protocol there is no reason for him not to play. Because if we don’t win this game we don’t make the playoffs. So this is the season. If he clears protocol he needs to play
You may be misquoting Heupel there, my friend. I see a few articles misquoting him. So your point is likely moot.I have to believe he is fine and going to play because it would be a pretty bad look for Heupel to say “he’s going to be ready to go” both Saturday and Monday and then Nico not play this weekend.

From my perspective, it would be a "pretty bad look" for Heupel to go out of his way to keep Kirby updated on details beyond what the SEC stipulates. No one can know with certainty on Saturday or today what the case will be on game day, and there's no medical or competitive reason to divulge details beyond the necessary.
That's not the same as saying “he is going to play.” (#29)I’m not misquoting him. He said today Nico “should be in a good spot for Saturday.” And after the game he chuckled a bit and responded to the question by saying it was precautionary and he anticipated Nico will play against Georgia.
I understand very much that he is leaving wiggle room in there to keep doubt in UGA’s mind. But Heupel has notoriously been pretty evasive about injuries, and many times he just straight up won’t answer any questions about them. So the fact he has said twice he believes Nico will play would make it very odd if he didn’t.
