I can't say I've never drank, but after thorough questioning from a few different doctors, they all agreed I didn't drink enough for it to be the direct cause. Could it have contributed? Possibly, but after looking at family history, they think that played a bigger role than anything. My dad had fatty liver that became cirrhosis, which in turn became cancer. My mom has fatty liver but luckily, it has remained that and not become cirrhosis. I was told years ago I had fatty liver, so I knew about that, but unfortunately, it became cirrhosis.
I'm just glad you got help man. Are there any risks of the new liver having issues in the future, since it's genetic?
