Hire Holgerson....

No, I said you have to be able to run the ball like LSU or Bama does to win the SEC. It doesn't matter how you run it, as long as you CAN run it. I posted that in multiple posts, yet you don't remember that.

WV is tied for 88th in rushing. Is that a running the ball like bama?

And to make you look even sillier, UT is ranked 35th in rushing.

To summarize, you dogged UT's running game and offense and explained that a running game like Bama and LSU is needed to win the SEC, then you start a thread wanting a coach who has the 88th ranked rushing team in a conference nothing like the SEC. The same rushing team that ranks 50 places behind UT in D1

Now, spin it again. I want to hear.

um.....

Texas ranked 63rd in NCAA in Total Defense. WV ranked 3rd in NCAA in Total Offense.

Then go find where I said it has to be a power running attack like Bama or LSU. In fact, there is multiple posts after I even referenced them, that I completely clarified what I said. Please, go find them.

I'd much rather watch people post facts disapproving your arguments.

I think he would hire a good defensive staff, because he would know he has to. If he brought his staff from WVU with him, I would be disappointed. I just love the swag of WVU right now.

Just who have they played that is really any good or competed for championships in the last 5 years? Good grief man, they just had to score 70 points to beat a lousy team that scored 63 against them--Have you really lost your mind?

And, what happens when he doesn't have a Geno Smith to run his offense? The same thing that happened to Urban Crier...But, compare who is getting better and playing for championships and what is their style of FB?

Bama, Fla much better after watching them play VERY physical FB against LSU, LSU, and Alabama...Tough, physical defenses with good, tough physical offenses committed to run the ball first ALWAYS WIN championships--or has everyone already forgotten the formula we used to win the NC back in 1998? It still works, and always will be the way to SEC and national championships...:salute:

Who else would we be talking about, Santa Claus??

I was talking about evaluating Holgorsen as a HC after his tough stretch of games.

Not comparing him to Dooley.

I say that mainly because I'm amazed at the Shiny Thing Syndrome VN seems to have. Nobody seems willing to wait to evaluate any damn thing.

Apparently most people on here only need somewhere between 0.5 and 2 football games to tell if a coach is good or not.

Don't know where you got your stats, but here are the official stats...

http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/natlRank.jsp?year=2012&rpt=IA_teamrush&site=org&div=IA&dest=O

Right now, UT is 49th in the nation right now in rushing, and 6th in the SEC. They have played 5 games, and rushed for 887 yards on 195 Att. for a 4.55 average.

After tonight's performance, West Virginia has rushed for 821 yards on 164 Att. for a 5.00 average after 5 games.

So, who actually runs the ball better?? You know the answer to that.

You're right Eric. Tennessee ran the ball against the likes of MARSHALL, JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY, and BAYLOR.

You. Are. Delusional.

Looking at who they have played, who we have played, and the defenses both have played, both have very similar results running the ball. Go do some research. I had a big comparison post in the works, then Firefox crashed on me. It is similar, if you look it up.

You do realize when this thread was created, don't you??

yes. We all do. You created it 2 weeks after another thread creation saying the exact opposite about running the ball and winning in the SEC.

Maybe you should've looked up the stats before suggesting the 88th ranked rushing offense per game as of the day you posted this thread is the running offense needed for the SEC. That same running offense ranked 50 places behind our own at the time you posted.

I appreciate your enthusiasm on the subject, and willingness to prove your point on facts.

That being said.

NC State, Ga State, Florida, and Akron is not really even close. Just got a little more impressive with NC State holding #3 FSU to 16 pts and winning.

2012 West Virginia Football Ranking Summary

As of 9/29, when this thread was created. All I did was add tonight's numbers in for WVU. Also, you do realize we had one more game under our belt, than they did right?? Or were you too busy trying to prove me wrong to see that??
