Here's my reasoning as to why Hochevar is overrated.
His numbers are terrible with him giving up over 8 hits, and almost 2 HRs , and walks 3 people per game in AAA. Also factoring in my opinion is that he has a lot of hype and i don't think he's living up to that hype as of now.
keep living in denial.
why am i living in denial? I could care less about a former Tennessee pitcher pitching for the Royals. All I care about for KC baseball is George Brett, Bo Jackson and Jermaine Dye. Outside of that I could care less. I will admit they have one heck of a stadium and that is the reason fans show up (not because of "prospects"). Oh yeah, I obviously care immensely about KC's old baseball team.
Then why do you keep arguing with me?
because you've yet to show how anyone with less than two years experience in pro baseball can be considered an underachiever if he's already been called up to pitch to the big boys. I'm just pointing out I'm nowhere near a Royals homer. The goal of a baseball player is to play for their respective major league team. Hochevar did that in quicker time than I would say about 80% of all players.
but i'd love to see you give me more insight from the travis burten's of the world.
And he's a lot older than most of the players too. He's about to turn 25, not exactly young for a rookie.
Even though I still don't agree that you can call anyone an underachiever that has less than 200 professional innings pitched, I'll at least grant you that his age does make him a little different. And he's a lot older than most of the players too. He's about to turn 25, not exactly young for a rookie.
