Yes, you missed that memo. And the the memo that states that if gays serve openly in the military that gay boys will break a centuries old tradition and begin showering with straight boys during gym class. As you know, gay boys previously were always prevented from showering at school.

I don't agree with homosexuals serving openly but what's done is done we all have to learn to live with it peacefully.

Back to special privileges:

Gay or straight fornication rules need to apply equally.

Uniform and PDA rules need to apply equally.

When I was a young Buck sergeant I always shrugged and let soldiers requesting to change roommates run up the CoC, and they also always shrugged and went along.
So long as Army property was kept to standards, and nothing illegal was taking place, who gives a ****? Of course SavageOrangeJug, er Volmaverick, knows how the real Army works

Thats where the issue is to most people. Marriage is defined by the church, the government does not to dictate to them who they marry.

The government is supposed to be labeling civil unions and divvying rights through that.

Both church and state need to stay out of each others arena.

the church should have every right to marry who they want. The govt should not have the power to deny rights based on what the church deems proper.

the govt needs to just get out of the marriage business completely and relegate the church's marriage to ceremony only

If its sefined by the church, then why does one need a state marriage license? One or the other needs to back out, or everyone should have the right to marry. And what "church?" There are many different denominations; several which openly support gay marriage, even in Tennessee. I'm not bashing you, its just that our system is extremely ****ed up.

You do know that the "incest creates certain illnesses" argument is absolutely false according to modern genetics, right?

All that incest does is concentrate the gene pool; thus, if one is already a carrier for a certain disease/genetic trait, incest magnifies the chances that such a trait will be manifested in the offspring.
