House of the Dragon

Better than season 8 for sure. Daemon Targaryen had no lines in the entirety of episode 3, but stole the show, IMO.

Don't know if any of you noticed but when King Viserys was killing that brown stag...notice that he is wearing gloves ( well pretty much in every episode now) notice the left hand and how his pinky and ring finger are stuck straight up in the air. That's because he has lost both of those fingers now. The main reason he drinks all the time now is because his ailments are catching up to him now...and the alcohol numbs his body to the pain. I bet the next episode he is a lot worse.

Daemon might be the most interesting character in the world of ice and fire.
He's a lot like this blonde chick I dated back in my formative years: Crazy. Evil and vindictive. Good looking. Maybe not so evil but badass. Maybe awesome. Could be fun? Maybe crazy and will ruin people close to him....

I don;t know why this episode has such high rankings on other sites. One judge it a 9.7/10. What? I fell asleep three times.

Yeah, I'd appreciate no spoilers ITT. I don't remember stuff. Somebody earlier said, "We know that no _____ has ever ______ from GOT." and I'm thinking, "Thanks, dude. I didn't want to remember that."

My bad lol. I didn't realize that mentioning something that aired on TV a couple years ago would be considered as a spoiler. I haven't read the books or researched anything online.

Will do better

It's understandable that someone would mention what we know about GoT ITT, so don't worry about it.

This may be the first episode of GOT that made me uncomfortable, and that's saying a lot.
I mean, Dany was Jon's aunt...

I thought the episode was well done -- creating a problem that will likely shuffle several pieces on the chess board. We are left guessing what Daemon's motives were behind the escapade, even wondering if there was a motive at all beyond reckless desire. What about Rhaenyra? Does she want to be "unwedable?"

What will happen if this now proposed wedding goes through? Corlys and Daemon would obviously have conflict...

Obviously, there were no real fireworks this week, but the stage is being set for Civil War.

This episode was setting the stage for the Dance of Dragons.
Otto now free to go off scheming. Criston feeling a bit used and betrayed.
Not looking forward to the time jump, as I like the Rhaenyra actress.

I enjoy the show but I do get tired of the "she can't rule because she is a woman" every episode. I think we got it the first episode.

Well it is vital to the story and the entire reason for the whole "Dance with the Dragons".
