This show has gotten stale for me, yet I continue to watch it. I am just too lazy to edit my DVR recordings.

I agree; I still watch it and it makes me laugh enough I guess but it's getting to that point where they need to start wrapping it up.

I was glad to see that. At least we know they have some sort of plan and direction they'll definitely be building towards in the near future.

They seem to imply that a lot, though, and then find a way to back their way out of any story commitments.

I hate how Ted says nearly every episode something along the lines of "but we'll get to that." And he rarely ever does.

On rare occasions, though, they do find a way to work some of those things in. Like, I think the pineapple story was mentioned at some time in an earlier episode.

That was a pretty good finale. I thought this season was starting to go the way of The Office in recent years, but tonight was pretty good.

That wedding with Robin was Barney's wedding, making that whole drama with Quinn pointless. And they've said Victoria isn't the mother, so are they really going back on that now? It seems like they had the perfect ending with Barney getting engaged and Ted telling Victoria to marry the German guy, and they just took a dump all over it.

Victoria has never been ruled out and they never said the two weddings were the same

Victoria isn't the one, and she was always my pick so I'm a little disappointed by that. I'm throwing down a wild guess of Mary the prostitute (paralegal).

She's always been my pick, but with all the clues given, she's still not ruled out. Do I think it's gonna be her? Sadly, no. but there is nothing that rules her out yet.

no there have not. We have no idea if she was in Ted's wrong class, or if she had a room mate or if she ever owned a yellow umbrella. I actually even went back and looked and he never told her he loved her. There's no factual evidence to state she isn't the mother, the producers and writers have even admitted she will most definitely be a player at the end and that had the show not made this long, she would have already been deemed the mother.

So are you saying that they're just gonna say, "oh, by the way. I told you her name was Victoria so you could get the full story" and then BOOM. Show over?

It easily could be, or it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for this show to actually say, "and kids, that's how I met your mother, you see Victoria is actually (insert name here)."
