How Stupid Does Glen Stanley Look Now?

and hat brings everyone back down to earth.

No. Hat does what Hat does... he spins everything as negative as possible, constructs straw men, and mocks anyone who does not buy into his cynical view of virtually everything.

In '12, UT will have the previous two top 10 classes chock full of talented skill players. You will have this class with a year of seasoning to provide depth along both lines.

So yes, the talent will be there to win the SEC. The talent gap will have closed sufficiently to do that if this staff can coach and develop players.

Wait if he couldn't get into UT how did he get into USC? They always rave about their supposed academic "superiority" Or did he even make it into USC. I'll hang up an' listen

Because the SEC is moronic for requiring an extra math course that no other conference in the country requires for JUCO's. It's something they need to wake up and fix IMO. The coaches have been complaining about it for years.

Stanley took an official to Knoxville.

Yea, and none are in the SEC. FSU, UCF & USF.

I don't think he can qualify at an SEC school. He would never have qualified at UT anyways more than likely. Probably that stupid extra math or english class for JUCO transfers. Hate that rule.

Ah I see thanks for clearing this up. I can understand an extra English class but an extra math class? I don't know...

He was qualified had the SEC not required the extra Math Class, which he never took and most JUCO's never take.

It's a horrible requirement from a conference standpoint.

That is a sucky rule. Every time we get a Juco guy, I get nervous, thinking he won't make it in. That rule gave Gerald Williams all kinds of problems.

Yeah it is a terrible rule. I think Tennessee has lost more than a few JUCO's over the years because of the rule.

it stung when him and ambles switched up for usc i get that... but i don't get all the hatred towards them they are still kids. when these kids commit they call the coaches and tell them. i don't blame the kids i blame the coaches for having no loyalty and i hope the kids learn from this.

He talked to Meyer about a possible transfer but that SEC math class killed any hopes. Hearing it's down to UCF and Noles. I would laugh so f-ing hard if this kid picked UCF over the now mighty-again Noles.

IMO He won't see the field in Tallahassee. He's better off at UCF

Why are they "kids" when they make bad decisions (like going to USC) & "young men" when they make good decisions (like coming to UT)?

Life is about making choices, even when you're a "kid". You make a choice & then live with the consequences.

they are all kids if you want to credit them for committing to you school by calling them young men more power to you but if you ask me its 6 one way and half a dozen the other. i still want him at ut either way

You were blaming the coaches, not the kids. I was saying the kids are responsible for their own decisions.

In any case, if Dooley thinks that Ambles will be an asset & not a cancer, so be it. :hi:

WTH?

Where did Ambles get in this?

See Post #111. B.O. was talking about Stanley & Ambles.

Since Stanley doesn't qualify academically at UT (math course), I can understand why he left UT. Ambles, OTOH, could have stayed at UT but didn't. Both of them followed Kiffhole to USC. That was a mistake IMO.

Sorry for the confusion! :hi:

That's weird, I thought Kiffin said he would release anyone that doesn't want to play for the greatest university in the history of higher education.

I don't blame USC for not releasing him, that said it could be used as ammo in recruiting if kiffin said he would release anyone, and then reneged on it.

he had no choice in releasing the upper classmen.
He doesnt have to release any signees.

esp with their lack of depth at LB, I wouldnt let that guy walk either
