Hubbs and Lewis on Pearl's Future

I'm stunned that a really good man like Pearl who bleeds orange and loves Tennessee like he does wouldn't let the school know immediately if he'd inadvertently done something else that might be a violation, considering he had just admitted to multiple major violations and all. Must have slipped his mind somehow.

Didn't have a photo to remind him to lie.

Good story. I for one will never tell u that u have to back pearl. In fact i couldnt care less either way really. I would however like some people around here to not ignore facts just to support an argument. Case in point leaving out the fact that he went as deep as ut ever has with a team that wasnt a so called transition team. You know its true!

Yeah - that was one heck of a half court offense last year. Prince driving to his left because he couldn't use his right hand. Maze dribbling to the right because he couldn't use his left hand. Chism jacking 3's. Hopson being Hopson lite. Rebound put backs by all. Nice half court offense. Apparently you missed the 80+ points per game versus the 60 this year. They don't even get there if they were a half court team last year. As the competition improved in the tourney they met better teams that ran half court and were forced to adapt. They pulled it off because the seniors played at a higher level in the tourney.

I can't believe we're bending over ass-backwards to keep this charlatan. We're like a 17-year-old high school loser threatening suicide to try to keep a horsefaced, lying girlfriend because she's the only one who ever gave him a handjob.

You calling an E8 appearance a handjob?

Where's that shake out in Paradise by the Dashboard Light?

I was thinking we were the suicidal girlfriend.

Pearl is the best coach UT has had, especially by tourney standards; doesn't mean we can't do better, given he is likely a dead man walking anyway.

I agree. Maybe we can do better maybe not. At this point we dont know. Big question is if pearl is fired how many bad coaches will we go through till we find a good one? Not saying he shouldnt b fired for this reason but it is the million dollar question that most will b asking

Honestly, if Pearl does end up leaving and as long as the program isn't hit too hard, I'm confident we wouldn't have a hard time finding another solid coach. It won't be easy to replicate the results over the past 5 years, but it's obviously doable. We have everything a coach would want and Hamilton is doing a fine job of raising money and promoting the program.

"It was long ago and it was far away, so much better than it is today."

It's a shame the most salient line in that song is buried in the fadeout.

Not sure I know anybody would would actually call him- or herself a Meat Loaf fan, but there aren't five songs you can put on at a party that will get older, normally non-dancing folks off their asses like that one.

That whole album is money.

I am unabashedly a fan of the collaborative work of Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman.

You having flashbacks?

Yeah, I often think longingly about all the titles UT would have won if Green could have hung around and brought in a steady stream of Elgrace Wilborns and Andy Ikeakors.

Don't forget Scott Moore, pretty sure he was Green's, or was it Boomer Herndon? Memory not clicking. Andy Ikeakor takes the cake thought. Literally

U may be right, but if we are hit hard we will have to gamble more going for the unknown in my opinion

And I have my opinion, what's the difference? What claim did I make? I simply said I disagree that he's a "good man."

even though this is his worst season as a coach, because of the ncaa investagation and the fact that team chemistry has been lacking from to many players playing too many minuets, bruce pearl to me is genrally a nice guy in a tough position.he is expected to win with a set of boosters at ut who dont sleep ,eat and breath winning at anycost, unlike at uk were they have spent enough money in the last 35 years or longer getting the best players and coaches money can buy and joe b hall, eddie sutton, and rick petino all lied and had alot more major violations, and tubby smith lied and john calipari god forbid that he got cought cheating everywhere he had ever been comes to uk were they had a horrible recruiting class coming in and we all know two recruits followed him from memphis, but the other recruits were never interested in uk and were headed to other schools .most never thought of uk or cala liar .and uk gave cal enough money that his nearly 5 million a year plus, the boosters money ,bought or brought in the players to win .and in all those years there was less said about all those coaches and uk than this past year at ut.outside of those 5 star top 15 recruits.that uk pays to come play at uk .i think pearl is a better coach and better person.sure pearl has had a bad year, but all the coaches do stuff against the rules its just when a coach at ut wins ncaa and others notice and catch anything they do.were cal and others get the benefit of doubt because of who they are,and i dont undestand why because he has never coached a ncaa tital winning team.so give pearl a break and what happens ,let it happen ,i wish i could never see anything else about pearl and that rat infested ncaa, but aslong as every coach gets the same .for major violations that the coaches are involved, coaches like kiffen who break rules and think no big deal it was minor should be banned for min 5 years

So they've been playing music instead of practicing? No wonder. I blame swiperboy, he started all of this.
