Volstylexx just said that coach Martin was not well-known before we hired him. I personally agree with that statement. Yeah, the way Volstylexx phrased it was sarcastic, but to any VN regular, his point was clear. Law tried to intervene by arguing that his presence was more well-known with his connections of candidacy to other schools. BASICALLY, Law was just stirring up the pot by acting like an obvious sarcastic remark was stone-cold truth. Here's where I think it's the most interesting:

I don't know why you jumped all over Volstylexx by analyzing his sarcasm as fact, when you are one of the most sarcastic posters on this site. You had to manipulate what Volstylexx was saying to start an argument, then you manipulated your own words in the quoted posts above. How in the world can you make those two statements seem coherent? I'm sure you will try and I'm very interested to hear it. "It was being widely reported" my ass. For what other reason would you make that statement if it weren't widely reported?

What the Hell are you talking about? I took issue to him saying no school was looking at Martin. He eventually did a complete 180 on his position but managed to continue arguing with me until he got plain stupid. I didn't manipulate anything. You answered your own question in the bolded part. That's why I said Martin would be the leading candidate.

I took issue with him saying no one was looking at Martin, which was 100% complete garbage. And no, I never agreed with him; you see, when he says things like, "no BCS school was beating down the door for Martin." And then I respond with, "except for GT, Missouri, and Purdue had Painter left." That's not agreeing with him. But, very nice try by deleting that part of my post to pretend that I was agreeing with him.


Since when were major programs beating down the door to get to Martin??? No one outside of the MVC knew who he was before we hired him.

Exactly. This is coming from the guy who touts the "fact" that he's in a "Ph.D." program at UT while, at the same time, is incapable of realizing that a declaration of fact is not an opinion. The requirements for entry into that doctorate program must simply be having a pulse.

I don't tout anything, in fact, you're the only one here that keeps bringing up the fact that im in a PhD at your beloved institution. Maybe you're just jealous. Get over yourself. If you want to disagree with someone fine.. but when the first thing you say is "ignorant post" then what are people supposed to think you're trying to do?
