You made a blanket statement that said "truly sad that we are becoming a more accepting society". You don't have to accept it, but as a society, we do.

Why? Because we don't govern from the bible. Gay people are people just like you and me and should have the same rights as us, even if we don't agree with it personally. It's the right thing and sometimes we have to look beyond our own comfort levels to realize that.

It may come as a surprise to you that hetero couples have "buttsex", too.

And if you feel that strongly about it, why not encourage homosexuality so they'll all get AIDS and die? Problem solved. Or?

The Bible showed me what God considers right and wrong. Also, according to God's Natural Laws, which is Mother Nature, gays aren't part of the structure either. It take a male and a female to produce a child, and I doubt that gays would force their children to be gay, since straights don't force their kids to be straight. It's all a choice.

Anal sex carries more bacterial issues with hetero couples than anything. If both have been hetero their whole lives and have just slept with hetero partners, HIV and AIDS will never come into play, unless introduced some other way.

i doubt the founding fathers would agree we need to legistlate by the bible. and there are some churches that have gay priests.

Nothing, freedom is the central theme to every thing we hold dear.

You should have the freedom to believe exactly what you want to believe and not be hounded for it.

The same would be true for the gay person. The gay person should be able to live however they want.

If one is a christian, I would hope they would be more involved with witness/brefriending a gay person rather than complaining about gay marriage.

As far as procreation and keeping things going, they are not. It's a choice based on comfort level with the partner, the need to feel loved, and the feeling of acceptance. I really doubt the duck that's taking it in the tail feathers really enjoys it. Is that documented?? If so, how would they know??

I don't intend to paint with a broad brush. Just pointing out the fact that in this case I can't see Huckabee making the same comparisons if the Bible said something different on the issue of homosexuality. Putting something like incest and homosexuality in the same moral category is beyond stupid. One is a victimless act, the other isn't, one is illegal, the other isn't...etc.

I'd be willing to bet many (not all) of religious folk at the very least see both as a "sin". I also bet it is a matter of time before somebody on here is saying this, equating the two.

there are plenty of heterosexual couples who do not procreate.
