Considering this was the game that was picked by several to be "upset of the week" (so far I think The U vs UF gets that vote) and that many people thought that Petrino would score big on us, I think that this would qualify as winning a real game.
The entire second half of today's game is evidence in support of the stated position.
The funny thing I keep hearing announcers saying is, "If Western Kentucky wouldn't have given up 7 turnovers they would have beat Tennessee".... Really? You don't think Tennessee had anything to do with those "Turnovers" big boy (Mark May)? Even the SEC Network's announcers weren't giving credit where it was due. They stroked Bobby Petrino's coaching style all game long. Give me a break.
I saw that comment. I laughed when bUTch thanked him for the upset alert. I think May got mad about that so he just had to say something condescending.
Have they already ruled on Miami? I thought they were still waiting on the Shapiro thing?
No the NCAA investigators screwed up the investigation and created some legal technical issues. Don't know the details, but the UM president was actually able to intimidate the NCCA process and the whole thing seems to be in limbo. It is believed that if sanctions do come they will be very light, compared to what it should be. This was a couple of months ago, heard nothing at all since then.
It's going to be 3-5 years to get competitive in the East. There's no reason to get down on things now. They've won all tue games they've played. So far so good.
Exactly! For this year we just need to continue winning the games we're supposed to win, play tough and competitive in the games we're supposed to lose, and hopefully steal our fair share of the swing games! At the end of the season that should be good enough to get us bowl eligible. That really does need to be the goal this year and we as a fan base just need to try and enjoy it for what it is and not get too swept up in next year or 3 years from now.
