I don't see how this is mind games. It was just a phony story it seems like. "I'm retiring. I'm taking a short leave of absence. I'm coming back in the fall". Um....something doesn't add up

I played HS as well, then 2 yrs of college. Now I coach. I see everyones point over in the Bball forum those guys just go about it the wrong way stimes. I've seen Pearl-like coached teams win on every level.(I didn't play D1)Its not my ideal O, although we ran a form of the Flex in Hs..All good though. Back to the thread. UM is a goof.

Yes. Recruits started bailing and good ol Urbie swoops in to save the day. Immediately followed by a tearful exchange with Timmy T. about how their lives are about to change once Tebow is gone.

Uh... yes you can. I had a contract with my company, and I now make a LOT less than I used to. Lawyers are good at getting rid of things like that. that's what they do. That's why they are all scum.

I called him a quitter earlier in this thread, turns out he is even worse.

The "time off" that Urban is taking is directly tied to recruiting. No Question! On Sat. he said family and health are the most important..on Sun. that was not the case. He and UF are concerned about the negitive feedback they got from 2010 recruits. This is a ploy to save the class.

I can't STAND Urban..as a FSU/UT fan....but he is the BEST coach in college football. I hope he deals with his health issues like I would if it were me (also a college coach..much lower stress).

Those on here that say he is scared of losing Tebow, facing Kiffin, or ect......are wrong. I hope that is a joke. I have met and am friends with many D1 Football coaches.......NOT ONE OF THEM ARE SCARED! HUGE EGOS!

I wish Meyer the best (health wise)........recruiting?????? I hope UF takes it up the @$$!

This whole Meyer thing is just a plan to fire up his team for the Sugar Bowl. Sure, maybe he does have some health issues, but the doctors didn't tell him he had to stop working. He avoided every question, and I'm more confused after the press conference then I was before. ESPN is now saying that Meyer will be back for the first game of the 2010 season. I'm calling it BS. Thoughts?
