I don't believe Urban Meyer

The guy has a benign tumor on his brain that causes difficulty when mixed with high levels of stress. He was treated for it while at ND. You need to shut up and relax. I'm glad he's gone because it may help us...but the guy is a great coach and did a great job at UF.

i have this same condition and yes you can get major migrains when you are overly stressed but i treat mine wit blood pressure meds and an anti depresent. but i jus question tha timing of tha whole thing givin tha current events that has happened in gator land.

If he were looking for another job he would be at Notre Dame in a week. He may come back at some point, I am not doubting that, but for now the health thing is legitimate. His emergency trip to the hospital was not about dehydration alone. There are some concerns that need to be addressed. And yes, I have a friend who works at the hospital he was admitted to. It wasn't life threatening, but it was something to be dealt with.

Notre Dame didn't and wouldn't touch him. ND wants no part of multiple arrests, off-field incidents, or the like. Like it or not Urban's track record of off field incidents while at FL (do I need to revisit the statistics for you?) precludes his hiring there. Don't fool yourself. He wanted that job and was not considered.

The amount of ignorance in this post is staggering.

Meyer publicly squashed interest in the ND job multiple times over the past two seasons, yet you know different?

He's not telling the truth folks. Go ahead and crucify me. Stress? Who doesn't have stress? I don't want to hear it! Smoke some weed or drink some wine. The Thamel article is ridiculous, he's done it smack in the middle of the dead period, and anyone with any sense knows his stock is as close to its peak as it will be. He's burnt out on UF. Actually I think strictly from a money/business standpoint, he made a smart move. When (not if) he gets another job, he comes in with 2 titles, and a 57-10 record. Instead of hanging around in the tough years, and leaving with a 67-24 record. Still good yes, but drops his pay a little, no doubt. (Although his "stress" wouldve soared through the roof when we beat them 3 years in a row.) All in All it was a well calculated move by CUM with the convienent fail-proof Health card thrown. Shouldn't have expected anything less from him.

just show how many classless fans we have when people can take shots at him for health reasons. but when people talked about chris lofton, it was awful!

health reasons must not be serious, if can come back to coaching
I don't recall Butch Davis pulling this type of nonsense at UNC. I see this as either a cheap motivational tactic to try and prevent his team from laying an egg against Cinci or he really does not want to be the hfc at UF anymore.

What if he changed his mind just to keep recruits from bolting to FSU or Miami or us? Then if he decides not to end the leave of absence next fall, the recruits are already there and they're stuck. Just a thought that entered my head, since he recovered in less than a day.

You just showed how many (at least 1) fans we have who need a reading comprehension class. (Its not a shot at his health if we don't believe him) DUH
