I hope Butch and staff knows how big Oct 25 is now

Hopefully the team itself doesn't have your attitude.....which is why Butch said this team needs to develop a winner's mentality. Honestly this why Dooley choked when he had shots at upsets....no idea how to BE a WINNER.

Aside from the LSU game in 2010, when did any of his teams ever have a real shot at a big upset? As the talent level took a nosedive as his tenure progressed, the games seemed to take a pretty predictable form of getting demolished by all the good teams, and sometimes even losing to average teams or bad teams with no QB on the roster.

Poor Layla--and Lane: Back in the deep south. I think Lane liked coaching Tennessee, he has great respect for our program--but he didn't like living in Ktown or the South, having spent so much time in LA. Now the sucker is in the ultimate hick state! I suppose Arkansas would be worse, and maybe Mississippi--but not by much.

Wow, moving from ritzy Manhattan Beach to down-home Tuscaloosa-- I still can't believe Layla agreed to do it. Lane is pretty diplomatic about the South and his time in Knoxville, but Layla notsomuch. I don't think she'll make it long in Alabama. Bet they rent.

Georgia and South Carolina twice...and our last bowl game against UNC.

Nobody is sayin we can maybe get em. Everyone knows our situation. Instead of saying ,man bama gonna kill us. Say something like hope we hit em in the mouth and give em hell and show progress .

That is the attitude of a fighter right there. This is why there is upsets in all types of sports. Believing you can lay the bigger beat down your foe than they can on you.

I wasn't so much talking about a perceived ability to win so much as being in a position in the closing minutes to actually get the job done. You're right about the SC and UGA games from 2012, but the UF and Bama games from the previous two years were both double digit losses.

I would tell Lane to have fun...I'm not leaving. Layla can't leave the late night munchies from The Kettle in Manhattan Beach! It's the bomb!

Hell we all know Lane will be looking for a HC job by the 3rd game of their season anyway.

The Florida loss was ours to win and our team quit. They seemed to always give up when it got tough. Direct reflection of the HC IMHO.

UT lost 41-10 to Bama in 2010. The 2011 UF game never got within 10 points. I think you meant the 2012 game, and I agree. UT had it in their hands.

The 2012 UGA and SC games were close. UT had the ball at the end and was driving.

The game was ours and we quit? In the first quarter? Give me a break. When you trail 16-0 and 30-7 at different points of the game, yet lose by 10, you definitely didn't quit. The team probably wasn't ready from the start, but they didn't quit.

In 2012....GameDay was there......it was 14-10 Tennessee at the half....stadium was rocking.....then Sal's defense lost confidence....and Bray crumbled.

So what kind of offense will Kiffin be running at bama. Any chance they'll change to uptempo spread, which Saban said they need to play faster few months back. Wonder if that's why Nussimeier (sp) was sent packing.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest for them to move to the HUNH under Kiffin. Nick Saban is a lot of things, but stupid isn't one of them. He knows the writing is on the wall for playing a slow, grinding offensive style.

Yeah all of those national championships proves that :ermm:

Yep, the new OC for alaBummer is none other than laMe kiffScum, YUKKKK!!!

Now we'll have to see that scumbag every year.

Makes me want to puke and I was hoping he would fall off the Earth.

Will this be nick saTans 1 big mistake that makes alaBubba worse?

I sure hope so!

#BrickbyBrick...VFL...GBO!!!

Everybody crowin' n blowin' about a game 9 1/2 months from now; comparing long gone Fulmer & the chief to Saban and relating Kiffin as if he'll be the HC of bammer. Gus Malzahn didn't shrink from any talent discrepancies in Auburn and neither did Stoops......and neither will Butch nor most likely some other WINNERS next season. An awful lot's going to happen between now and then and history tells us that Kiffen tears programs apart. Aside from an offense handed to him by Norm Chow as co-OC @ USC, what's he done of merit? I'm glad the little rat's there to further smell up BDS.
