White Castle

I had never had White Castle before I lived in Indiana for a while last year. I like those little gut bombs.

We had a couple of Krystal locations around here for a while, but they didn't make it.

I was very excited when I recently found out Petros is opening really close to my house soon.

I agree with those saying Cheddars. Never going to eat there but it usually keeps people from going to the better restaurants so our wait isn't as long.

Agree with Petro's too Vader. Always grab one when I'm back in Knoxville

A German owned, German restaurant with real Yeager Schnitzel and Schwankbraten(sp?).

I have ate at a couple "real" German restaurants in the states...their NOT!

Schweinebraten you mean?

Marikkas in Lexington is decent, not great. I went to some place in rural KY once on a field trip, it was good. Don't remember where it was though. There is also the Haufhaus or something in Cincy (maybe other locations of it too).

German food is difficult to find. Learning german since 10 until 20 I found the culture to be very interesting, the food of course being amazing.

There's one in London, Kentucky that I try to go to when I go back home. I love fresh White Castle.

After having them for the first time last year, I dare say I prefer them to Krystal.

We have a Perkins...and I wish there was more around...I didn't mention it because I got my ass kicked in the restaurant thread by the uppity food snobs :)

Interestingly, I can walk to one here in Farragut.

I've heard of the one in Farragut and was planning on trying it. I could not find Yeager schnitzel or schwank on their online menu. Do they have it?

Yes sir... first time I was in Regensburg Germany, I ate at a little dive on the banks of the Danube and the beer and plate full of sausages were heavenly. Never found anything close to that in the states.

Right here... the spot for the best German sausages and beer.

I miss Germany. Where I was, Hahn, reminded me of East Tennessee. Great scenery, great food, different language. Lol

Surprised no one has mentioned Chik-fil-a.

I don't care much for it. We have one 5 minutes from the house, and my wife and kids love it. Oddly, it was the first place I ever ate in Georgia.

Oh my Cat brother, you need to take a trip to deutschland. Go to the Mosel valley during wine fest season (11 months per year). Stop at any small town, eat, drink and take it all in. Avoid the big cities and little America. You shan't be disappointed and you may not come back.

Have been wanting to go for quite a while and hit up a bunch of different places in Europe.
