Yep, I wonder if they will go after sarkesian at Washington or however you spell his name. Also do yall think they would come after lane? I should not mention that prob. Also does this open us up to get wright from usc tomorrow?

I strongly doubt USC shows any interest in Kiffin unless they whiff on about 8 other guys.

The names I've heard are coaches with a better wealth of experience than Lane. Fisher, Del Rio, Riley and a few others are the ones I've heard rumored.

IF Pete leaves, and IF lane does not want the USC job, look for Lane to quickly and publicly squash the rumors that he's going. he won't allow his recruiting to suffer from rumors of him leaving.

The only rumors about Lane and staff going to Usc are on this board. Espn says the leading target would be Mike Riley from Oregon state.

Honestly, IMO I do not see Lane Kiffin even being considered at USC! I believe they could however make a push for Stanford's Jim Harbaugh, BSU's Chris Peterson, Texas' Will Muschamp or the long-shot Bama's Nick Saban (He left LSU after winning a title)...

It isss Southern Cal... and outside of Notre Dame... I see it as the best gig in FBS! Anything could happen...

Notre Dame is far from the best gig in FBS, imo. Expectations are too high. It's too hard to recruit there with the academic standards.

Yeah... ND is best, but USC is sweet... Easy conference (compared to SEC, Big 12, etc), hotbed for recruits, perfect weather, hot girls... Coaches dream!

This looks to be another case of a coach building up a great resume while showing a total disregard of the rule book; then cashing in on and a huge payday elsewhere, leaving the school and its athletes to suffer through the resulting probation once the investigations are complete. Any coach worth his salt would be crazy to take that job with probable heavy sanctions in the near future.

Very curious as to our chances with Prater now.
