IL school cancels trip to AZ

trust me, i'm more in tune with race relations than 95 percent of this country. my life is nothing but diversity, not than any of you hillbillies think that's a good quality
So you're intune with folks of a different color, because you live in th biiiig city, yet you have no qualms about a prejudiced stereotype of small town American. If we were black, it'd be racism. I guess it's ok though to hold a prejudice against Southerners.

You don't know any of us, or how 'diverse' our lives are. I bet it'd just blow your mind (and probably piss you off) to know that people outside of your ivory tower of diversity can somehow live lives without prejudice based on color. To me, pointing out how many black, latino, etc friends you have shows that you still see a difference in color. Gotta diversify so you can look good, eh?

What you call race relations, I call a normal day. People are people regardless of color. I don't go out of my way to differentiate between white, black, hispanic, etc.

That said, there's absolutely nothing racist about this AZ law or the idea that we need to enforce illegal immigration.

Imagine if I went to UT for 4 years for free. Never paid in a dime. Then after 4 years, show up demanding a degree. It doesn't make sense. Noone would agree with me. Yet, somehow, you and others think someone can skip line, enter illegally, and then have a right to demand services of our country? Garbage.

Illegal aliens are taking the place in line of honest, law--abiding potential immigrants to our country. If I can't trust you to wait in line, how can you be trusted to be a law-abiding citizen of my country?

That's the thing that most of the "ship their ass back" crowd doesn't get. Those who are here illegally are here because they are trying to escape poverty on a level that Americans can't possibly understand. Unlike others, I don't fault any human being for trying to make a better life for theirself or their family.

Why don't they try to change the policies in their own country instead of coming here illegally and pressuring us to change ours? Mexico is rich with natural resources and the tourism industry is big. I feel honored that so many people want to come to our country, but we have laws. Come here legally, learn the language and become an American and I would love to have immigrants here.

You get onto me about targeting you, yet here you go doing the same thing to me.

The law as written is fine by me. The law as practiced will have problems.

This would be true of any law on the books now or at any time throughout the history of man.

Yeah, Illegals must be a HUGE problem over there in Cheatham. Illegal Immigration affects me a whole heck a lot more than it can you, simply because I live in a city and there's more of it.

It effects all of us, we all pay taxes if we are producers. Perhaps it effects you a little more but to act as if it's not a huge problem for all is disingenuous.

pretty sure it's illegal to hire an illegal citizen... nice try, bro. they're just as guilty.

and no need for you to call it a problem over there in cheatham county. it doesn't affect you nearly as much as somebody living in a city. More illegals are here than your run-down county. that's fine. keep living without diversity. it's the way the republicans want it, what with your 95.8% whites and your 2.1% hispanics.

Over here in the real world, we have 67 percent white. We know diversity. We know race relations. Until you move out of that waste of space, just stop speaking on race relations. You have no clue!

How can you begin to presume to know what another man knows or doesn't know? Do you realize for all your accusatory bigotry comments these posted by you show just as much if not much more bigotry than about 95% of the posts in threads like these? Way to stay classy though.

I try to find some common ground with all posters, even those I disagree with on almost all issues but you have shown yourself to be just about as pathetic as they come. Your assumptions are the best example of the very thing you've claimed to hate and despise.......you are as bigoted as they come, you are the liberal version of Archie Bunker.

People who truly care about the things you claim to stand for would be embarrassed by you.

that's fine. i wouldn't live in any small town. seen more racism there despite only spending a small portion of my life there than I have in my time in a city.

don't want my kids to grow up thinking diversity is a bad thing. small towns preach nothing but.

Neither do I, you have no clue what your talking about. Seriously, are you twelve years old or something?

He believes in equality by numbers. If there isnt equal numbers of all races, then thats not diversity and therefore its wrong.

What about all the communities that are 90% black, 90% Hispanic?

Do you think that they know anything about white Americans if they have lived in this community all their lives.

Blacks and Hispanics need to learn diversity as much as anyone else.

Anyone that still uses the term race relations obviously missed the point of equality. Go brush up on your history. Minority leaders didn't want us to just get along. They wanted equality.
ANd don't think that you have a damn clue about diversity because your city is only 67% white.

They don't want equality, they want preferential treatment. And of course they don't want us to get along, if we get along they would have to find real jobs.

you are in tune with race relations why? because you have a mail order bride? come on dude. stop acting like everyone here has been living in a white bubble their whole lives.

More info has come out about this particular school administrator. It seems she has a history of making decisions like these that appear to be politically motivated. It seems she has a history of imposing her beliefs on the students she has been involved with.

This guy is a joke, he has no clue. Unlike him I don't make public all my friends and intimate relationships that have been of other races for hypocritical purposes.

I'm a little upset you said it before me, but nice.

why would you? you see them as real people. unlike this racist.

You're not even in tune with reality much less anything having to do with race relations.

Blind statement.

And that is exactly why bringing down the hammer on the businesses that hire them will not do much to the problem. (Which was what the post was made for.)

I don't fault them for wanting better either. Ive been there (twice). A government funded life in the US is upper middle class down there.

That shouldn't open the door to any and all that want to come either.

If they conform to the rules and regulations of this country, I have no problem with people being offered citizenship. The problem is that a vast majority of them dont and therefore are a drain on this country's resources.

If they did that they wouldn't be here.

yes, because I can't count the number of times the mayor and prominent members of the small town I grew up in would hold town halls preaching to us dumbasses that diversity is evil....wow!

As I said in my previous post, these people are trying to make a better life for themselves. I see them as criminal about as much as I see Rosa Parks as criminal.

I agree with this, and I don't know what the answer is. I still can't call someone a criminal because they are trying to better their life.

so in your book, someone that robs a bank trying to make a better life for themselves and their family, is not a criminal?

good point... why didn't the same guy ask me to tuck in my shirt even though me and my friend walked in at the same time. how come he didn't ask anybody else as they walked through the door to tuck in their shirt??? (trust me, i was watching after this)
yep, i'm the one being naive. you keep coming up with random excuses. i'll stick with what actually happened.

and YET again, this is just one example. I provided others. You chose to debate this one.

OK. So we are to believe that you encountered a racist doorman and he didn't harass you because you were with a black person?

And just where is your "real world"? Have you ever ventured out of Tennessee?
