Which is why there is a mechanism in place the police have to answer to and offenses get officers fired and suspended if they show a history or track record of these offenses.

Are we not enforcing the federal law, because we can't properly do it without profiling? No, the feds are not enforcing it because there is a voting base to be had.

The law as written is fine by me. The law as practiced will have problems.

I don't buy it Cash.

If you had a problem with an open border, and millions of illegal aliens in the country, you would have some type of opinion on how to fix the problem. All I have seen you post is, Im not sure what you do.

If nothing was ever done about either problem, I doubt it would even cross your mind.

I didn't really care about the racist hillbilly remarks.

I have no problem with a law officer losing his job, for not doing his job. But for those that play by the rules, they should be allowed to do their job, in spite of that.

You would be correct.

Reminds me of a guy that complained that he never saw use writing traffic tickets in his area, which was not true. He went so far as to write a letter to the Mayor and Chief.

Next day, we were told to be visible and write anyone, no discretion, for any violation(speeding, loud noise etc.). Low and behold the first person we caught speeding was this middle-aged white male, unknown to me, he was the one complaining.

Next week, I am writing a statement, explaining why I stopped him. He had written a formal complaint saying I wrote him a ticket as retribution for complaining of the lack of police presence. Undoudtly we were mad because he disturbed our coffee and donut consumption times.

It wasnt the fact he was doing 20 mph over the posted speed limit.

I have suggested a fix to the problem. Audit all businesses and than Fine businesses that hire illegals. If there's no work, there's nobody crossing the border. It's truly as simple as that.

I don't disagree with going after those that hire illegals.

But it's not that simple.

A government funded life in the US, beats 90% of any life they would live in Mexico. I have seen it first hand.
