Why is it necessary? Why is that the only choice? Perhaps 25+ years of limiting ourselves to our own reseources has made it necessary. If that is the reason, it is a stipid one.
What do you mean what other choice do we have? Perhaps using what we have. How about that choice. If alternative energies emerge and prove to be efficient and cost effective...yea!! then I am all for it. Until then, it is moronic to not use what we have.
What other choice do we have? This isn't the first time in history that it has been necessary for the public to sacrifice for the greater good.
I'm not picking on you e, but two things... a) why do all the libs here talk about sacrifice? and b) i get really nervous when anyone starts mentioning the greater good.
A fine point, but relief won't be here in the near future regardless of who is President, or what is allowed to be drilled.
You're right it will not help tomorrow. I am not being a smartass, but I am somewhat confident that this country will still be here in 10 years. That being the case, get that stuff out of the ground!!!!!!!
a) I don't really know that I see them all talking about sacrifice, but I will stick with what I said originally, nothing is ever gained without sacrifice. Progress and sacrifice go hand in hand.
b) Ahh, must be the dirty hippie communist in me.
... Back to the meat of the thread.
Tim, you fail. He wanted to hear the positives of McCain, not the negatives of Obama. Sit this round out unless you can answer the man's post.
I would like to see this thread develop properly as well.
