I'm hearing Worley is possibly out...

Our run game has been trash against good defenses behind this line. It was built by Chaney for pass blocking.

Trash is a little strong. We ran it for nearly 150 last year vs UGA. I know that is just one game but I just looked for an example. And you just said "against good D's"...

I am NOT saying it is their strong suit. But their are too many pro propects on our O-line to not be able to run block. They may be better suited for pass blocking, but they are NOT trash at run blocking.

There were practice reports last week that said Dobbs was giving our 1st D fits in his role as the ducks QB. That has to be worth something, right?

All this faint praise given to Worley (he gets us lined up, he doesn't make mistakes) is mind-numbing. He came into his third season with a suspect arm, no wheels, and no playmaking ability to point to - but people were willing to suspend judgement in the hopes that the new staff and new system would make him serviceable in the SEC. Unfortunately there is plenty of evidence after 3 games to suggest that is too much to hope for.

Third year, but with what, 4 games of actual experience, 1 prior to the start of this season? He's basically a freshman who has a quicker mind than the actual freshman.

I want Dobbs. We aren't going anywhere this season. Let him take his lumps and learn.

Let's see them all. Some kids practice well, but play poor. And other practice poor, and play well. I am curious to see how they react to playing against another jersey.

If that competition has ever been truly closed on a team expected to go 6-6, then we have problems.

Except, putting confidence in your QB might be your best bet to win.

Mark Sanchez and Alex Smith suck, a lot... their best seasons came when they along with their team knew the job was theirs. When they feared whether they'd lose the starting job, they not only played worse but their teams played worse as well.

If your coach doesn't have confidence in fielding a successful team/offense/qb... why should the rest of the team be confident?

When your QB's are so bad and inexperienced that you're trying to pick the one that's least horrible, that's your biggest problem. That's the case for us... we're not picking who is better, none of them are good a the moment. We're picking who is the least horrible option. That's the problem.

Sorry but game experience is much more valuable than sideline experience. No way it's been the "plan". If you get a chance to watch Peterman when he has played , he never takes his eyes off of the WR he's throwing to.

Game experience does not mean squat when every game he's(Worley) played in he proved he is not good enough. Worley is a d-3 qb he can't run he has a weak arm and he is not accurate. Peterman might stare down receivers but atlleast he has the arm strength to get the ball to a reciever. Worley is terrible. To put it in perspective how bad Worley is, Simms 19-31 for 259 yards and 2 tds against Florida. Worley threw for 246 agains aspu and wku. I know a lot of people hate Simms but he struggled against upper echelon teams, Worley struggles against the bottom of the barrel. If Worley matches Simms numbers against Florida it will truly be a miracle.

I'm just not sure playing 2 true freshmen in the swamp against UF's defense is the best idea.

I think it's safe to say that we'll see a new QB starting against Florida. Wouldn't be surprised at all if Ferguson or Dobbs gets their opportunity. The read option could be effective if we have a QB with running ability. Have to keep the defense guessing. Worley is making our offense too predictable.

Look at the receivers Simms was throwing to vs what Worley had. That's a big difference. And also, Simms played more college ball than Worley has, as well.

IMHO, CBJ will not start Peterman in a hostile (Florida) environment until he has more reps with the first team. He could play the 2nd half if things look bad. That will give him the reps to help him play at his best. And then maybe start at South Alabama.

Truth. I would settle for seeing them against S. Alabama. And let Worley and Peterman share time at Fl., IF Worley shows accuracy issues again.

Just curious, where did you see that?

Heard it, actually. Midday last Thurs on the sports anml - West and Ward commented on Dobbs running through our 1st team D early and often and how that wasn't a good omen for Saturday.

I did look around for a written source - there are more than a few articles from last week complimenting Dobbs - how he donned Mariota's black #8 jersey and "did a fine job mimicing the Duck's star qb."

You guys keep forgetting we're building something. We're gonna struggle this year regardless might as well put in freshmen and build for the future. We got to focus on process.

Peteran is Worely 2.0 with a stronger arm...just say no to Peterman...i want Fergy or Dobbs...

If nothing else, there's at least the chance that Ferguson or Dobbs could catch fire once the lights are on.

Worley and (to a lesser extent) Peterman are known quantities.

Basically your saying since we have no clue what Fergy or Dobbs are ready for we can at least hope they do good and not worse. = Blind optimism. This will be awesome against one of the best defenses in the nation at their house. They will look bad and then we will all say they can't get it done. Sound bout right? Just my opinion but if their were doubts about Worley from the start, we should have been playing oe of the 3 freshman from the start of the season. It's the only issue I have with a qb change at this point.
