Imagine Heup's Record if...

ok thanks for the psychology lesson. Now please supply the example penalties that were called against UGA that benefitted UT in the second half of the ballgame. Or at a minimum provide examples of no calls. If you can't supply facts to back up your statement, then that is called an appeal to ignorance
you need a lot more than that...go look at Kitselman's td where he is clearly moving towards the line on an uncalled illegal motion...try being objective. There were plenty of others that went against Georgia.

how about UGA's receiver moving, no call false start. and then Beck moving backwards before the snap, no call false start. Both were on their final drive which proved to be the nail in the coffin. Both were obvious no calls. I'm sure Heup has sent tape to the SEC office of this stuff. Go watch his press conference and tell me he wasnt upset. or His reaction to the calls on the sidelines. I agree with him. he should be mad.

Imagine his record if we didn’t commit stupid penalties, drop passes, fumble, miss tackles, overthrow receivers, lose opposing team’s receivers in coverage or miss blocks…we’d be damn near perfect.

You always have much more control over improving your own performance so that’s where the focus must be…

Four years at being close to the bottom in the country in penalities....Coaching issue. It never changes.

That wasn't a "phantom PI"
Correct. It was technically the right call, but the interference was, in my opinion "light" and could easily not have been called. If I remember correctly, relatively few Alabama fans lamented/protested the call. Most were pretty classy regarding the outcome of that game.

"Uncatchable Ball" 5 yds out of bounds is supposed to negate any questionable PI. They could have covered it with "HOLDING" which is an easy "Fix".

Saw this story on the news where this man is fulfilling his dream of being a sports announcer while being blind.

Wonder how long before he fulfills his next dream of becoming a football referee in the SEC.

I gave you guys one on our TD by Kitselman...if you need more, go look at their game thread...their morons acting just like ours, complaining the refs were against them. Numerous examples they cited.

How about we clean up our own bullsh_t first before we worry about the SEC officiating bullsh_t.

He didn't also have to beat the refs?

2021:
Record: 7-6
Losses: Florida, Alabama, Georgia
Losses because of Refs: Pitt, Ole Miss, Purdue
Revised Record: 10-3

2022:
Record: 11-2
Losses: Georgia (rain), South Carolina (Michigan scouting, and the linebacker sabotage)
Revised Record: 11-2 (He was able to beat the refs this year)

2023:
Record: 9-4
Losses: Missouri, Georgia
Losses because of Refs: Florida, Alabama
Revised Record: 11-2

2024:
Record: 8-2
Losses because of Refs: Arkansas, Georgia
Revised Record: 10-0 (and probably ranked #1 in the country rn)

Heupel would easily be 42-7 (.857 winning percentage) at UT (with 2 easy wins upcoming). Because of SEC refs, he's 35-14. Imagine the boost to recruiting and resources. He'd be on the cusp of a Saban run.
Definitely some iffy calls in some of these games but how do you lay 2023 Florida on the refs? 26-7 at the half is more a reflection on us than the refs. I’d say the same thing against Georgia this past week. Getting outscored 31-7 is more on us than the refs. Sure, bad calls helped us get there but it wasn’t enough to flip the game. You have to be close for you to say officiating cost it. Georgia is the better team when both teams bring their A game. They just hadn’t brought their A game but against us they did. I forget who said it but they said Bobo turns into Andy Reid once a year against UT then goes back to sucking.

It did seem like most of the questionable calls benefitted UGA but I don’t see how you can watch that game and think UT lost because of the refs. We lost because UGA flat out whipped us at the LOS. We couldn’t have gotten pressure on Beck if we played with 15 players. Bobo, Beck and the O-line flat out stepped up. We didn’t. Hopefully we will get the chance at a rematch on a neutral field.

Stop making up excuses for Choke Heupel, he is turning out to be Butch Jones 2.0….

I'll admit there were some memorable bad calls in some of those losses, especially in 2021, but it cuts both ways sometimes. I think we could subtract one for the Alabama game in 2022. The officials called a phantom PI call on Alabama that allowed us to tie the game late. I would have lost my sh!t if they had called that on Tennessee.
I can't tell what is serious or what is blue font any more. There is/was nothing phantom about that call.

Wasn't a phantom PI, but even if it were, then give us the no call OPI that would take one of their touchdowns off the board...

I’d love to see all the “excuses” condemners plead guilty to a DUI arrest because they were tired and veered between lanes. Or maybe it was failing to move over for faster traffic.. Either way, it’s truly refreshing to see so many model citizens ready to display their strength and courage by not making excuses.

“It’s not a crime if you don’t get caught” could easily be in Georgia’s maxims and would support General Neyland’s maxim.

I'm new but it feels like the really dumb people here outnumber the smart people like 10:1
We have our share and I don’t exclude myself from the dumb list. Some people take it more seriously than others. Some don’t take it seriously at all and just want to banter.
