India, Pakistan, and Kashmir

So apparently Pakistan only has the logistics for 1 week of full scale war against India. After that it’s a wrap.

I admit I took a generalization statement and applied it to a situation which I did not fully research. I know no one else here ever does this.

If the Pakistani embassy is indeed working like a well-oiled machine, then I apologize to the employees in Karachi.

Well, good for you for admitting you went over the top.

Pakistan has always been the inferior in regards to its conventional forces vs India which is why the focus on its nuclear forces for protection. I'm concerned if this goes any larger what may happen.

IAF jet crashes in Budgam district of Kashmir

A day after the Indian Air Force (IAF) strike in Pakistan, an IAF fighter jet crashed on Wednesday in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, killing at least one person, officials said. As per initial reports, the jet crashed due to technical failure.

The jet crashed in an open field near Garend Kalaan village in Budgam at 10.05 am, the officials said.

So, an IAF jet crashes from "technical problems" around the same time multiple Pakistani aircraft cross into Indian airspace and are chased away by the IAF. That is quite a strange coincidence.

If you do a Twitter search and type India you would think this is a full scale war. These people are just talking **** back and forth. Paks claim to have captured a pilot shotdown earlier today. Airports are being shutdown. If these clowns want to duke it out, by all means flex your muscles a little bit. My main concern would be Pakistan getting backed into a corner and then the real nutcases come out and try to gain control through a coup. Pak government might be fighting 2 fronts at once if the militias try to seize on opportunity here.

India shot one down also according to IAF.

Pak scheduling meeting of their national command authority. That doesn't sound good. Also I'm seeing unconfirmed reports of an IAF chopper being shot down with all 4 inside dead. Also Pak claims to have captured a downed IAF jet pilot. Most civilian flights in India also have been grounded. All major Pakistan airports shut down for commercial use, at disposal of military. I hope all this information is wrong cause this seems to be escalating.

Most gravely to be noted about this unprovoked terror attack, this report concludes, is its timing coming just ahead of the crucial nationwide Indian general election to be held in April and May—none of whose current political leaders running in will have a chance of being elected unless they immediately smash the terror organization Jaish-e-Mohammad and the Pakistan government protecting it—and is why Prime Minister Modi has just told the Indian people that “soldiers have been given full freedom” to retaliate—a “freedom” that now places India’s nuclear weapons under military, not political control—and whose military forces have just declared “we will not forget, we will not forgive”—leaving only unanswered as to how the world can keep World War III from igniting as the United States will move to protect India at all costs, while China will do the same to protect Pakistan.

*I doubt this is all 100% credible, but I'm betting some of it is.

Ok so here's a more credible source:

Pakistan says it has shot down two Indian air force planes in clashes over the line of control in the disputed region of Kashmir, and that two Indian pilots who came down in Pakistani territory have been captured.

Video of a blindfolded and bloodied man, who Pakistan claimed to be one of the arrested pilots, was shown at a news conference by Pakistan’s armed forces spokesman Maj General Asif Ghafoor.

Crazy to yall how twisted things are when we are trying to avoid ww3...and we supposedly will back India who is flying soviet MiGs...against Pakistan who is flying our. F16S???....and communist China will back Pakistan flying our Aircraft?

Waiting on either us or China, hopefully us, to get a bunch of f22s over there and shut down the airspace altogether. Neither 1 of those planes can even see an f22 on radar, but we can damn sure shoot them down at will. Time to take a chill pill boys

I think Paks F-16s are trash because we refused to supply the parts to up grade them. They are using JF-Thunders I remember at one point we were going to sell F-16s to India.

India buys from both sides at whomever sells them cheapest.

I wonder if China or Russia (or both) is behind the scenes pushing this skirmish. The timing of this outbreak alongside Trump’s meeting with Kim and possibly conflict in Venezuela is suspect.

It probably has more to do with the upcoming Indian elections.

I would think the last thing China or Russia wants is the US more involved in Central Asia. unless they just believe we will waste ourselves there, again.
