Indigenous Marchers, Covington Catholic HS, and Black Israelites preachers = a buffet of media mess

To be fair, at the time, it was “correct”. More information and videos came out and they (at least CNN) reported it on

No it was never correct. It was a false narrative from the beginning.

The news (editorial function) is supposed to check facts prior to reporting. Had they done so they would not have bought the original narrative and commented on it as if it's true.

The food is good in purgatory, then. King cake and crawfish for miles.
I'm just funnin' with you, try to lighten things up a bit in here. I actually lived in Hattiesburg for about a year, in 1986/87. My job there was just a stepping stone which was the reason I didn't stay longer, but I have some fond memories from that year. In particular the old GM chicken-farm truck I bought off a professor of audiology (he flagged me down one day when he saw me riding my old Beemer, as he was a collector of them) who let me rebuild my old '73 911T engine in his garage that summer... he was from Tennessee to boot.

And because they are a good counterpoint to put down a group of white kids...

I honestly think the MAGA hats had more to do with it. For example, look at how the left trashes Ben Carson.

In a similar vein, if these were black folks wearing MAGA hats, I think there would've been an equal amount of outrage.

I agree with your point about the MAGA hats but nevertheless the black group were given a pass in this case even though they were arguably the catalyst whose deplorable conduct led to the controversial interaction between the white kids and the Indian. And yet the MSM are not blaming them at all.

They are treated as almost non-people. They get referred to as a "fringe group" and a "cult" - it's implied condemnation but clearly they were the worst actors in the whole thing. It's a bit of "they can't help themselves".

Sure, they were merely exercising their freedom of speech!
