He was overwhelmed. Very understandable.

When you consider all the legendary players to have played at Bama over the years, for him to be the one to finally bring home the trophy to Tuscaloosa must surely be a very emotional thing for him..... I grant him a pass.

A grown man who cries because he is thankful, is nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, it's one of the most manly things a real man can do.

I think almost everyone would agree that the hypesman isn't really about who the best CFB player is, but is a beauty contest that defensive players (or any player on a two or more loss team or any non-BCS championship contending team...) shouldn't even bother to expect consideration....

Congrats to Mark Ingram! Glad to see him get it, better him than Tebow. Makes me even prouder of the SEC!

Gerhart is much better. That is no debate, just watch the man play. I have never watched one of those overhyped presentations since '97. It's a popularity award among top ranked teams. It does not go to the best college football player.

Anyway, I am watching ths program about Miami on ESPN. It's all about their bad boy image and how they beat all these great teams and wer so great, blah blah. They skipped over the '86 Sugar Bowl. Hmmmm.

This was simply a boring year for individual performances. When the spotlight was on, nobody really came with their A game.
