Insider on a&m situation

Yeah they've been rumored. The way the ACC has been to them though, they very well might have the same feelings about it va tech does

I don't think there's any doubt that FSU would leave for the SEC. I think it's whether or not the SEC wants them and what Florida's reaction would be.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma st to the PAC 12, A&M and Texas Tech to the SEC and Kansas and Kansas st to the Big 10??? Who knows how this may play out.

So I guess the MU to the big10 from '10 is a no go?

Mizzou?

It's still possible. But after how the big 10 left them at the alter / out in the cold to fight off the wolves last year, it looks much less likely than before

That said, I'd love to welcome St Louis and Kansas City into the fold as SEC markets personally

If A&M jumps ship to the SEC, I could see the Hokies coming on board. FSU and Miami are out because Florida would raise he!!. Similarly, Clemson is out. NC State would love to join the SEC, but I don't think they are a good fit. OK State will only go if Oklahoma goes with them.
Of course, JMO and TIFWIW...

Texas tech isn't going to be coming (and the other thread has some good reason about why you shouldn't really wan Lubbock)

Kansas and ksu though are - in all likelihood - going to be left by themselves alone in the cold

No. Someone posted a link to a MU to the big 10 done deal blah blah blah from 2010. Again, a reason a sarcasm button is needed.

Honestly I dont want any of them. Just playing a guessing game right now. Would love to see 4 teams jump ship to the PAC 12 and 4 teams to the BIG 10 and the SEC just stay where they are!! Although its looking like we will be adding at least one for now.

The SEC won't get OU, I wouldn't think. Okie Lite and OU are connected. If that wasn't the case, the SEC would take OU in a heartbeat and leave the folks in Stillwater out in the cold.

A&M + Mizzou and OU + OSU (they've seen what hitching themselves to Texico gets them).

If all come, we go 16. If only A&M and Mizzou - then we hold at 14. For now.

While the Hokies would leave the ACC TODAY to join the SEC - they are about as appealing to the SEC as MTSU (read: they aren't).

Mizzou is? aTm is?

I'd rather take Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, or leave it the ---- alone.

I don't think T. Boone Pickens would allow that yearly match-up dissapear. It means a lot to the people and economy. If they were to play in separate conferences, the state would make them play regardless. Given this, it would make more sense for them to play in the same conference as their respective schedules would be astronomically difficult. JMO.

I can't understand why everyone seems to like the idea of a 16 team conference.

Because they want to see as hard of a road to get to the NCG as humanly possible. Makes no sense to me either bro. This conference is hard as hell as is, IMO.

Billy Liucci who is as reliable as it comes to Texas A&M sports said on 104.5 ESPN radio in Baton Rouge that it appears "very likely" that Texas A&M will make the jump to the SEC.

There was an A&M guy on the radio here in Austin on my drive home. Kind of like their equivalent of Hubbs. Said in his view the move to the SEC was more likely than not to occur.

Or, what makes the most sense...TAMU is playing texas' game of I am leaving the conference unless I get more money and tv money. texas is currently king of the conference, but will share rather than lose all the positives.
