CBJ gives me the feeling that he thinks these actions through before he implements them. I think these colors lets the players know just who is working and leading. I don't think he is into the business of ridiculing young men. If he doesn't win here it won't be because he doesn't work hard at trying to build a winner.

He was also quoted in that same article as saying that it wouldn't be hard to get them into orange from blue, because the players have the mentality of "just teach me coach, we want to win."

I love it. Is it just me though, or doesn't that seem like a dig at the old staff?? If that's the case, I love it even more!! GBO!

I agree that something new on the uniform front would bring a jolt to the team. I am not saying we should change uniforms for ever but one or two games a year isn't going to hurt.

I think Jones was a good hire that UT sorta backed into. He might be a great fit and turn the program around. Then again he could be a Jim Donnan (I might not have been your first choice but you got it right).

As far as the above quote, every new hire in the country should say that. Don't mean there's a smidge of truth in it. The NFL is always a phone call away for any good college coach. Good coach speak though. :eek:k:

He really does.

There's no way these applications won't workout for the better, in some capacity...he is FINALLY putting a system in place that brings leadership and accountability to the table. I like it.

I wouldn't mind seeing the blue, but not the result that would make using them happen

why do you folk have to label everything as a success or failure right away. Of course we wait and see.

Could it be worse than what we have seen the past few years?

I like his spark. I just hope he is the type of coach we want around for a while and can have a street named after. He will certainly have a great deal to live up to come this fall. But I like his ideas so far and I think he has a great way of motivating the players and helping them form independent leadership while also bringing something for the whole team.
