What i am thinking is they wear there game uniform the Friday before gameday, just as many kids do in high school. So in that case, if you were awful one week, you have to walk around campus in an ugly blue uniform and most people will know what this means. i really like this idea.

unfortunately, kids today seem to have to have that rah rah. They are built up their whole life and get shocked when adversity hits and don't know what to do without rah rahs. That's why many end up back home with mommy.
He can't fix it, so you might as well play the game. Doesn't have time. He has to build some rah rahs and hype right now. In a few years, maybe not, but has to right now.

Setting expectations right away is a good thing (he said most were in white and blue right now). The more I think about it the more I like the idea.

It will still come down to team leaders. There will be dissention and attitudes. Just depends on the team leaders handling the locker room. When that happens, we will be back. It hasn't happened in years. Might as well try everything you can. If it doesn't work, try something else.
I liked Bray. He also frustrated me and I'm glad he isn't leading our program. I will be pulling for him in the NFL.

When it comes to the classroom, you get grades. When it comes to your job, you get reviews and increases. When it comes to the Tennessee football team, you get jerseys. You know where you stand every week and what you need to do. And who needs to step it up. It is a team sport afterall. :)

This^. Gotta let any back and forth with Oregon fan go. He's not gonna come off the hate. You'd think he'd be happy given that his team, the Ducks, have had success lately. He gets off running down our program. But some guys you just can't figure.

Whether or not this has an impact on his ability to coach seems irrelevant. If the on field results are missing that isn't necessarily an indicator that this tactic is useless. The players get an idea of the expectations their coaches have, and they get a visual cue on how everyone sits. Hopefully, it has the intended result of making orange a source of pride, but it also adds a sense of accountability.

Building morale, fostering pride, finding a work ethic, and so on are all going to be important steps in returning the football team to a respectable level. It has to start somewhere.

Can't remember the exact details, but I remember maybe 8? 10? years ago, when Pat wouldn't let Lady Vols wash their practice unis until they turned in some decent work. I guess they were stinking up the place in more ways than one. :)
